Horrible pace of play
Have played Birch many many times ( least twice a month) Today was horrible pace of play. Normally finish 18 holes in 3 hrs.. Today, 18 in over 4 1/2 hrs!
Seems a lot of these players are lacking good golf etiquette also… Birch might need to start having a Marshall cruise the course. Not sure if they are starting to ‘overbook’ tee times… this is second time in 2 weeks this has been the issue. Birch might need to Have a Marshall or Ambassador ‘ out on the course to move things along (?) Other than that, I enjoy playing there
A bit busy surprizingly
Winds had gusts up to 45 mph and pretty consistent at 25 mph made for a challenging day. You would think that it would be wide open on a Friday however we had to wait a few minutes at each hole primarily due to a new golfer having a difficult time.
Impressed!
Birch Hills was a ton of fun to play. First, we had a 7:30 tee time so we figured it would be pretty packed but a little bit of weather scared away some folks and the starter, who was really cool and friendly, got us going asap. It was just two of us but and we were slated to play with another pair but he let us go out on our own which was nice.
Course was very well maintained and the greens were running faaaaaast! We had rain and it was cold during our round, I couldn’t imagine how fast they are when it’s warm and dry. Loves the placement of the traps and water hazards, made things challenging for sure.
Nice clubhouse, solid little pro shop and friendly staff. Will for sure be back for more here. Thanks Birch!
Greens Need Some Work
Overall good experience. Some parties got confused about the layout of the golf course and added delays but skipping holes and cutting in front of other parties. Greens will need a bit of work.
Good for the price
Got an okay deal at $29, that’s not bad for a walking rate. I wouldn’t pay more than $30 here too be honest. The layout is different and feels much longer than before due to the wait time at the second hole. Greens felt very soft and a little muddy as well, fairways were decent.
Slow
Quit after nine bc backed up three groups on 10. Emailed general manager… no response.
Very Slow and Poor tee and fairway conditions
We were waiting on every tee for 10-15 minutes. This was a mid week mid day round which makes no sense.
Simply too many players in too little time.
Conditions were poor which was somewhat understanding because of rain and cold earlier in the week.
Backed uo
We quit after eight hikes. Slow pace of play inexcusable. Waiting over 10 minutes on every hole.
Don’t care
Stop asking me. We didn’t play. We were rained out
