linksy with an abundance of water Photo submitted by MarkMolyneux on 03/11/2020
Good, and challenging
I’ve played St Anne’s twice now and I like it. As I understand it, the course has a complicated history, which may explain some of its quirks (e.g., 6th hole coming back to the clubhouse), but it presents now as a challenging links-style course, but with the addition of water on 12 holes! The course conditions were good, the routing is interesting and the facilities and staff are excellent. Everyone working there seems really happy to be there and enthusiastic about the place. I don’t know what hiring process they are using, but they’ve figured something out! From the white tees, this is a long test and I played well to break 100. I tried moving up one set and I had more fun, and actually got to hit something other than a hybrid into the greens. Greens fees were $65 during the week.
Beautiful Links Course
Hot day on this lovely course. Booked a good value on a hot deal.
Pro shop staff, bag attendants and starters were super friendly and welcoming.
It was very crowded, but the rangers should do a much better job enforcing pace of play. We asked the ranger what the hold up was and he said the group 2 in front of us had several open holes that m front of them. No sense of having a ranger who doesn’t enforce pace of play.
Waiting on every hole was very frustrating, especially in the 95 degree heat.
Awesome!
One of my favorite courses around since it’s renovations. We’ll be back many more times!
Beautiful course, great layout, great condition, friendly staff. I played on a Monday , only a few people out so I was able to roll through in about 2 1/2 hours. I spent more time driving to play 1 1/2 hours each way than I did playing but would do it again.
Gets better each year
Greens were in very good shape. Course looks good. Wasn't windy so scoring better than a howler.
Beautiful course
The course was beautiful, we were paired up with a local that helped out with where to hit the ball. We had a great time.
fousome work outing
We chose St Anne's as we had a mixture of experienced golfers. Weather was great, greens were in good condition. Staff are super friendly and helpful and the 19th hole is very nice. Good day out
Top 5
As a new resident in De from Ct I find courses here are less numerous and not as challenging as the hilly ct area but this place is a treat
The greens are tricky and an approach shot to the wrong spot can lead to a challenging putt
The holes with water are present but not really in play
Just a blast over all
The only negative for this place is they really need NEW holes and pins as they block the hole on most holes
First time
Course was very wet from recent rains. Cart paths need work. Course itself was very nice but played from the green tees since we were not familiar with it. Whites looked to be much more challenging.
High school state championship setup
Unknown to all in the group GAP finals were earlier in the day and it was set to challenge all
And it was wild with racing greens in wild hole locations
Great job by the staff
My first time here and I will return with hopefully normal paced greens for my 12 handicap.
Beautiful course layout and will worth the greens fees
Great place
Played a round on Monday. This place was great. Course was in fantastic condition and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!!!
True Links Golf
The layout is unique (the turn is at the 6th hole). There is a lot of water and it makes you think about your shots and where to aim.
I’ve played there a few times and it’s always windy. There are very few trees to block the wind. Keep it low and let it run.
The greens are in excellent shape and you get a true roll.
