The course was in very good shape, all verdant green which contrasted with the sand dunes and beach and brilliant blue sky and ocean. The one exception were the greens. Sand was sprinkled liberally over them and it unfortunately detracted from their speed. It is a spectacular location, although a bit of a hike. Uber will drop you off but you must take an expensive taxi back to Cabos San Lucas. Also, while playing we watched a spectacular show of a hump back whale breaching the ocean for at least 15 minutes. All in all, while pricey, it was a worthwhile experience.

The Lady at the desk called me and said She never charged me for my Tee Times. Now I am concerned it is a scam or real since I am dealing with Someone in anothe Country.. Waiting to see if and when a possible charge hits my account. A little frustrating

My story will take a few minutes to read so if you're in a hurry the quick summary is if you're trying to decide which high end course to play in Cabo go to Quivira, Diamante or Puerto Los Cabos. For the money those are much better choices even without the following story ..

One of the worst golfing experiences I've ever had at a high end course. A beautiful morning round of golf was ruined by the way it ended. I had the. First tee time of the day. I was dropped off by my Uber driver right in front of the clubhouse. The course is remote so as I was finishing my round I requested my Uber pick-up which was 10 minutes away. I waited right where I had been dropped off but the Uber kept saying 10 minutes away. My battery was dying on my phone so I was worried he wouldn't be able to contact me. I had to get back to my hotel 20 minutes away to check out so I was running out of time. Then a get a message that my diver couldn't get past the security gate to the property. I asked someone in the golf shop to call the gate to let them thru but they refused. Turns out that they don't allow Uber pick ups. Only drop offs. I asked to speak to the head pro for his assistance. He said the was nothing he could do. I asked why that policy wasn't made clear to customers who would surely not realize it especially if they had arrived by Uber. He showed me an 8 inch by 11 inch sign in small writing placed in a spot that would easily not be seen that said they don't allow Uber pickups. I told him that was not a good enough notification and they should be ashamed. So I asked if they could have someone take me to the gate to meet my driver. Considering I had just paid $395 to golf I thought that was a reasonable request. He refused. He said my only options were to take a taxi to the gate for $20 or take a taxi to my hotel for $45. The cost to Uber to the hotel was $16. By now I'm running late to checkout of my hotel, my phone is dying, my Uber driver had to leave without me but I still had to pay for it. And I had to pay for a taxi back to my hotel. The manager said there wasn't anything he could do because this was the policy from the resort not the golf course. I told him I wasn't a customer of the resort, I was a golf customer. He then insulted me with an offer of a 10% discount if I come back to play. As if I would ever want to come back to the place where I just had the worst and most disrespectful golf experience of my life! Which all could have been avoided if the Uber policy was made more clear at the time of booking which is a reasonable expectation in a resort area where many people Uber.

The staff were amazing and the course was top notch.

Solmar is a stunning property with endless breathtaking views and gold perfection. The conditions are about as perfect as it gets , the greens a smooth and fast . The staff couldn't be nicer especially the Pro José and Adrian on the cart staff. Whenever we come to Cabo Solmar will be a can't miss and most likely multiple rounds

Forget the rankings you see everywhere else. This is Mexico's best resort golf experience for visiting Americans. The mix of desert and dune holes make for an inspiring cart ride along the beach with water views ever-present. The all-you-can-eat-and-drink comfort stations will keep you satisfied.

Came to Cabo to vaca and play some golf. Have used GolfNow for years. Tried booking this course for two weeks. Every time I would book my card was charged and then I would get a message that the tee time was not available. Hot Deal or regular tee time. Do not believe tee times are actually available even though they are listed for every day. Called GolfNow no tee times available for Thanksgiving but app is full of them. Beautiful course who knows. $397 charged for false hopes then refunded. Good luck!

Soooooooo Slooooooooow. Longest game of golf in my life. Very windy. The pace of play ruined the experience. Beautiful course and didn’t even mind the wind. Won’t be playing again anytime soon. Such a bummer.

Solmar was fun with friendly and helpful staff. My irons were cleaned as I switched at driving range. The complimentary food and drink at the comfort stations was great with friendly staff. Greens were excellent and true- the pas pallum grass really was nice. Beautiful vistas and the sand dunes were huge as we rode by. Windy day but it kept us cool. Great time.

This is the 100th course I’ve played and was easily in my top 10.

I would not select this course again for vacation unless conditions of course and weather are perfect.

There are too much sands on green and fairway in windy day.

Not much grasses on fairway.
