Punched greens and fairways were in horrible shape. Very disappointing. We did get $20 off per player in the Proshop. We love playing this course but probably will pass next time when we are back in Cabo. Plus 30 mph winds made for a long day
Call Before Booking
We wanted to squeeze one more round in, while in Cabo. Solmar (Rancho San Lucas) looked phenomenal on their photos. Too bad they punched and (over)sanded their greens a few days before, with no notice/heads up on GolfNow. We still paid full price $200+ for the round, but they did alleviate some of the cost by giving us a $10 pro shop voucher for some of their $200 Golf Polos.
Nice layout for the course, comfort stations were set up efficiently, and they had some great views by the Pacific Ocean.
I would give this course another try, when we are back in Cabo. But, I would 1000% call ahead before booking.
Unique course
Never played a course with so much wind before. So fun!
Fantasy Golf Course
This course is out of this world, an oasis in the Pacific's dunes. Practice areas were top notch on the driving, chipping and putting. The golf pro checked on us personally and the entire staff was attentive and excellent. The all-inclusive option kept us hydrated and nourished. I had a memorable time with my 18YO grandson that I will away cherish.
Beautiful
Breathtaking golf course. Better than Cabo Real. The wind does make it very challenging . Amenities are too notch
Great course, windy, expensive
Practice areas great. Staff great. Merchandise about 10% more than the States. My playing partner did not bring balls. Bought TM Distance + balls - $60 for a dozen. Wow. Course was very windy. Constantly 15-25 mph ocean wind the day we played. The practice green super slow. The greens on the course, much faster. Looking for more consistency there. Their signature hole, 17, had about 30% water, lackluster. On courses back/drink shacks - legit. Glad I played here, would be interested in elsewhere prior to dropping 200-400 on golf again.
Perfect Day along the Pacific
Usually wind makes this course difficult. Had mild wind and a lot of fun. Course starter moved us to an alternate hole and we were never pushed or had to wait.I really appreciated the flexibility.
Super Windy
There was not much pleasure playing this course yesterday. The winds were powerful and ridiculous! There were only three holes that were tolerable, but still windy. Check the forecast before booking.
Amazing views, fun layout
First time I saw a whale breach in the ocean while golfing. Course is well maintained, very playable. Driving thru a sand dune, which then opens up to a the box and fairway is very cool. It's a spendy round, but great experience.
Cabo golf at its best
One of the best golf courses in Cabo. It’s the second time we played here but the wind was a big factors for both times. Everything else was perfect.
Pricey but worth it!
Had a 7:20am tee time. It’s a little drive from the Marina and the traffic is pretty busy in the morning. Got there with 10 minutes to spare so I couldn’t hit the driving range. It looked amazing. I got the rental clubs for $79 bucks. They provided me with a set of TaylorMade Qi10 Driver/woods, Qi Irons with the option to get a stiff or regular shaft. Pace of play was perfect. The course was tough, if your ball hits the desert it’s gone lol. Overall, course was beautiful and well kept. My recommendation, bring your own glove, balls, tees and a range finder.
Worth it!
Amazing course! We caught a windy day but it is open enough. We saw humpback whales around noon that day. The only negative was some sand on most of the greens which appeared to be part of a maintenance process. Otherwise the greens and course overall is kept in immaculate condition!
This continues to be one of my favorite courses in Cabo
This is a great course from a design standpoint. It’s beautiful in every way and we enjoyed a day with very little wind which made it even that much more enjoyable. If there is any knock on it, you do pay for all inclusive food and drinks with your tee time and to be honest this was a bit lacking. We were promised a different menu each time we came through the comfort stations but the front only had empanadas and the back only hot dogs. I understand that it’s difficult to have this be a gourmet offering but this was pretty uninspired and it seems like the workers are disappointed that they didn’t get tipped much but also as the customer we were expecting more. That kind of leads to a circular set of disappointment all around. Two other menu items and just a touch more energy at the comfort stations and this is a 5/5 must-do. It’s an easy fix and hopefully the course will take this feedback and make the appropriate changes.
