Cabo San Lucas Country Club

I’m only a 10.1 handicap. Nothing special. I’m in my 60’s and love to play. I have never played a course where greens were this inconsistent. Some furry, some play like glass, others are hard as a rock and some the ball plugs deep. The greens added at least 8 strokes to my game. I shot an 82 so this tells anyone the course is actually easy. Wide open fairways. I play 6500 yards normally so the blending of black and silver give you the player rating. Would I recommend? No, not at $275 USD. No breakfast was provided but was supposed to be included. Disappointed

Range and putting area need a lot of work.

The course layout is good and it’s relatively challenging if you’re not a long ball hitter.

Greens could use some work but rolled pretty well. Bunkers are very coarse sand, compacted and with lots of pebbles…..hard and clubs and not very consistent.

While there are much nicer courses in the area this one was not a bad price and I’d go back when the time is right.

The course was in poor condition I will pay the additional money to play the other courses in Cabo San Lucas next time.

i especially liked the back 9 , greens were in great shape

your drinks were pricey... something I would expect on a $400-500 a round course.

Club House and Range needs improvements.

I requested rental - they extremely poor condition.

Course need a lot yardage markers

Pace of play was good on front nine - slower on the back. Finished in 4:15. Bermuda fairways is less forgiving than what we play up north. Greens were in ok shape.

The course, including the fairways were really in pretty good shape. The greens were brown and green, but rolled very appropriately. It’s a long course and it’s sea level so your shots don’t go as far as you think. Best to use one extra club, especially on an approach shot. Offers plenty of challenge. If you just take a couple of minutes to look at each hole, it plays accordingly.

I would like to receive a refund or GolfNow credits because it was down pouring rain fir 2+ hours and I know it’s in your policy for a refund or some kinda of credits.

Garbage rental clubs and terrible course and greens. They should refund me in full.

Greens were not the greatest, and surprisingly damp but it was a morning tee time. Very nice course

The course is in best condition that I have ever seen.

I have written reviews for this course before on google, it used to be a disaster.

It has since installed new mats to hit off on the range, these were definitely needed. This is needed for the winter season as Bermuda grass is slow growing and the range suffers for much of the season as it won't recover.

Golf carts were in great condition, no gps but that is my preference so 5 ***** for that.

The staff, was very friendly, this too was a major issue in the past. This includes the bag boys when dropping the clubs off to check-in and when leaving. Even the restaurant staff were efficient and friendly.

Cabo has had a lot of rain this year and the fairways were in great shape. The greens were cut properly (evenly cut, no mohawks), however, they still have some kind of weed issue but they look like they are getting this under control.

I use a 13 scale to rate the course (1 bad, 13 - excellent)

Carts, 12 (some may want the GPS so I deduct 1 for not having it)

Warmup Range, 8 (while the new mats are great and needed with bermuda grass, the chipping, sand and putting area could use some improvement and the practice balls are in need of being replaced)

Fairways - 9

Greens - 7 (greens were a bit slow, not sure what the would measure but perhaps a 7 or 8 on the stimp, still some weed or fungus issues).

On Course Comfort stations 8 (there is only the clubhouse for refreshments, service was fast and friendly.

Walk ability - not an option

Wash rooms on course, 10 (there are restrooms on the front and another on the back)

Some issues with cart paths, some places it is difficult to know which way to go, but I have played this course multiple times in the past so it isn't an issue for those that have done so but new players may find it to be a bit confusing.

Shopping for clubs, putter or a new bag isn't an option however there seemed to be most things you need (balls, caps, gloves, etc.)

Rental Clubs - I can't comment as we had our own clubs.

Pricing; they offer local discounts and have different pricing depending on the tee time. the price is competitive with surrounding courses.

Overall I enjoyed my round, the course wasn't very busy and we finished in 3 1/2 hours, including our stop for refreshments.

Great job on the improvements! I would rate the course at a strong 9

Definitely worth playing if you haven't been there since last year.

Interesting course design unfortunately not well maintained.
