Something for everyone
While this is reportedly the #1 ranked par 3 in California (#8 in the US), the course was approachable enough to make it enjoyable for the less proficient in my family. The greens are in great condition and have subtle tilts making them a challenging read. The grounds are in very good condition throughout and the landscape/setting aisles inviting. There are enough hazards tandoori varied distances to challenge the short game of lower handicappers. It was a great warm-up venue for my family to begin our Thanksgiving in the Desert.

“Historic” course
We were sadly disappointed at this $85 par 70 course. For that price we were hoping for some fun but the starter informed us that it was probably not the course for us and he was right.
Very narrow fairways, no room for error because the houses are right in the course.
Greens were slow, sadly over seeded … overall a big disappointment. Might have been a great place to play in 1946 but … times they a changing. Don’t bother unless you remember 1946.

Course layout was tricky
The course was laid out that had lots of trees . I never could find the tee flag. I wanted to play by myself but was told to get into the cart of another single so I became frustrated and only played 9 holes

Short course good smaller greens
Get to use a lot of wedge shots and shaping tee shots . Bunkers are well placed . Greens are great . Doing work on the remodel of the club house so that is a little inconvenient but will be nice when complete . Very putting course was now complete and fun to practice with .

Good practice course
Course I’d in reasonable condition. Greens quite rough course is pretty short for the golfer who hits longer. .

Good fun/value for the green fee…
Never played it before and didn’t have high expectations. However, a few holes in it gets better along the way. Worth the tee fee!

Old and Weird, but Decent Enough Course
Everything about this course is old - mid-century unmodern if you will.. Not just the course structure and layout, but the facilities and the people too. That being said it was in decent enough shape and presents a challenge- particularly for slow putting. The facilities appeared to be under reconstruction so maybe something coming, but nothin there now. The people were nice and the rate is fair given the competition.

Good for the money
We usually play here a couple of times each visit from the Pacific Northwest. While more expensive after the pandemic, this is still a good course for mid handicappers. Short but tight fairways put accuracy at a premium. New owner is restoring the course & facilities. LOTS of maintenance folks on the course., but did not get in our way.

Wonderful Day
Course was in good shape, a few shaggy lies in fairways. Greens were extremely slow. I mean extremely slow. I don’t think they weee cut that morning.
You have to keep your head up as some fairways are back and forth and balls will enter your fairway from the other tee boxes.
Clubhouse under full renovation but outside amenities were very good.
Over all it was average - good oka
