Mine field
It took a hot deal for us to play this course. The course had just been aerated earlier in the week and was still a sandy beach. The condition of the course was equal to the rate we paid at the time. The par 5 on the back nine looked like a mine field with hundreds of fresh goffer mounds. We where heading down the fairway of the 15th when the cart started to loose power. We almost made it in but cart stopped moving near the green on the 18th so I called the number on Google to let them know but it was a number the hadn't been serviced yet so we just pulled the key collected are gear and walked back to the club house turned in the key.
This course needs a lot of work but I'm sure as with most courses they are on a budget.
Tough course
At almost 7000 yards it’s tough. Greens are being redone so very slow. Fairways are rough. Pace of play is very good

Local course
I grew up in this course but the owners really let go of this place , the greens are brown and the fairways are nearly brown I’m writing this review so it can hopefully reach the right person and get this course back on track .

Caddy Shack
OMG it’s looks like they just recently filmed a remake of Caddy Shack here with Bill Murray trying to kill the ground hogs with grenades. Conditions overall were horrendous as I expected for $15-20. This is a cow pasture that needs to be laid to rest. I’d pay $15-20 just to tip over some cows. That would have been more fun! LOL

Cherry hills fun day out there
Greens are coming back which is great. From down the middle fairways are in decent shape. Great value for the price. Fun layout. It Ain’t no pebble beach but if you like fun, casual no frills golf then give cherry a try if you aren’t overly pickey. I love the place, And Im an avid golfer who likes to not play for an arm and a leg but that’s just me I suppose. Thanks cherry hills !
Poor customer service
Johns fantastic customer service was surely missed right from the beginning. The young man working in the morning was more intested in pleasing the manager than attending the customers. The manager was yelling at a customer that she let out as a solo. Asking him to wait for a partner even though he had already tee ed off and heading to his ball. Play was slow but people were polite and let u play a head. The course look good for the price, if they would stop over watering the course would probably look better. Though this issue was already resolved. Less watering and less manager would make for a favorable day.

Nice cheap course, what do you expect?
Courses are really a reflection of the price it costs to play them, in Cherry Hills case or California Golf and Art Club if that’s how you remember it, it costs $11 with a cart on a deal day at 11:30, it’s prime time for the heat and nobodies around (which can be a good thing). The greens in the past couple months have improved since last year, getting greener, softer, more difficult. A lot of greens are patchy and seeing what’s happening so far with the revitalization of the golf course I expect these to be fixed pretty well by the end of the year. The fairways are rough, especially when driving the golf cart on them, they also need new golf carts but before that they need to fix all the holes in the ground throughout the golf course, need to exterminate all the squirrels and gofers and regrade the land. So in all, I would give this golf course a 2 star but since the greens are getting better and I see that they’re trying to make it a nicer place, I’ll give it a 3 star, pretty challenging course at almost 7000 yards, one of the longer golf courses in the area. Not a bad bang for your buck so to say. Wouldn’t spend more than $28 on this course.

Horrible
If you like playing on dirt from tee to green then this is the course for you. Course was in horrible condition. Hard to find any good grass to play on, nothing but dirt and weeds.

Good for the money
Cherry hills can be a very good course, if better care. Long par 5s. Greens are fast. Keep it in the fairway, or good luck finding your ball.
