Robbery
This is a great course for someone willing to pay to play a course where the fairways are all dirt and the bunkers are over run with weeds. I played the first 4 holes and had enough. It's amazing that this place is open at all.
the place is run down dirt tee boxes and weeds on the faraway and surrounding the trees bunker r mud pits did not enjoy

For the money - Worth it
Let me start by saying I read some of the reviews. This course for $55 (on the weekend) is worth the money. The fairways are being redone, the tee boxes need work, the greens are very soft and well maintained. With all that being said, this course is the perfect spot for a non-stressful, relaxing and easy round. Par 70, short and easy to play. Perfect for the ones who are just learning how to play golf and perfect for the golfers trying to keep their swing in flow. If they can, redo the tee boxes, and get the fairways full of grass. This course will be a top notch experience.
Good course for beginners
If you’re new and might miss the ball a lot and hit grass, then this course is for you since you don’t have to worry about ruining the fairway or green.
Only a few good tee boxes and greens. Wasn’t worth the $55.
Video is one of the many over watered Greens. Making it hard to putt.
The course is not maintained very well at all. Many times I had to move my ball off of the dirt patches in the middle of the fairway.
Challenging Course
Beginner golfer and the course is challenging for my skill level. I can say that the tee boxes were small and not well maintained. The sand traps were not maintained at all. Overall it was a good day on a good setting in a course that should’ve been in better condition.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
WORSE COURSE EVER
I have been playing golf for 35 years and have played at all types of different golf courses in every price range. Even back when I used to pay less the $10 on some run down part three courses, I’ve never seen a golf course in worse condition than California Oaks. I felt bad for the surrounding community and couldn’t believe that they charged $55 for that round of golf. Even had I paid half that price I would still be writing the same review as there was no fairways or tee boxes or any landscape done whatsoever except on the greens which were overwatered and extremely spongy. I rarely write a review, but I am doing it in the event that I could spare even one person from their worst golf experience.
What happened?
Years ago, this was a nice local course. Now, it's like playing on a driveway.
Almost not playable
The course needs a lot of work. There are some areas that are basically dirt where the fairway should be.
GO ELSEWHERE
This course is absolutely horrific. The pace of play is great because nobody is there. This place needs to be shut down and overhauled. Tee boxes have no grass and unmarked fairways muddy, and the bunkers feels like they are filled with bricks. there are about three greens that are in good shape, but the rest are trash. This course should cost $10 max, anything above that is robbery!
One of the worse courses ever. Should be illegal to charge people to play here
What’s a tee box? Aside from the greens the tee box should have fairly good grass and be somewhat flat. Nope not here
This course is terrible.
The course is terribly maintained. The staff in the clubhouse is very friendly. The greens are adequate. The tee boxes are horrendous. The fairways are hard packed dirt with small patches of dead grass. Not maintained. I think it could be a fun practice course if there was an influx of money to bring it back up to par. It’s a shame that it has gotten this bad.
Getting worse
They just keep letting this course go to complete S@@T. It’s sad to see them not care.
Perfect for an after work quick 9
Took my girlfriend here after work on a Friday for a quick 9 holes. Staff was SUPER friendly and it was easy enough getting into the gated community to the pro shop. It’s on par with any average municipal. Some folks are upset because it’s not the best condition but for the price, it’s loads of fun and the greens are in PERFECT condition. My girlfriend had loads of fun re-learning the game and I was just happy to be out with her in the sun and practicing some chipping and putting. Overall, this was a great outing for not a lot of money. Pace of play was great too, as slower folks will let you play through and those teaching friends and family make use of the really decent layout. Carts in great condition too.
Worst Course I’ve played
Terrible course and conditions. Greens were nice, but everything else was terrible.
