California Oaks Golf Course

Be ready and bring extra balls! Looks like the grass hasn’t been cut for months. The only way to have good game is hitting every ball straight and perfect… I’m not the best at golf But when u loose too may golf balls because the maintenance is poor Yeah it’s time to spend a little more and drive a little further to find another course.

They should have let players know this course is in the courts and due to be adjudicated at a later date which means no maintenance to speak of. The layout is perfect for challenging golf on a short course. So much potential just wasted. Costs should be much lower ask a result.

Had not played at Cal Oaks for a few years and now I remember why. This course is in very poor condition. The tee off areas are overgrown, missing markers. The fairways are like a desert sand area with a few patchy areas of grass? The only fairly decent areas are the greens but super dry and very slow.

A very challenging course due to swampy and nature type which made me rethink on a lot of my decisions on how to play, swing and approach certain conditions due to the terrain. Indeed a place to train for larger challenging courses in the future.

The area received a week's worth of rain and unfortunately the ground crew is behind. Next week the conditions will be better.

Why do they not just give you a cart, add the 10 bucks and you will get more players. Wake up

Fairways haven’t been cut in a long time

Weeds are out of control

Gopher holes are everywhere

Ball washers are broken

Mole hills are abundant

Sand traps are dirty and or full of water

Wash rooms at the club house we’re out of order

Washrooms on the course are boarded up

The greens are in good shape though

In general the entire course is in disrepair

First off the condition off the course in general is the worst around by far. I have golfed here since 2014 and it has slowly gone downhill every year. The price used to match the condition of the course,now with the disk golf they charge more . I’ve heard the disk golf is pretty good honestly. The two lady’s in the shop with the short hair are by far the meanest most unprofessional/ unpleasant people I’ve ever met. I’m happy I learned to golf here and actually love the layout , just wish someone would buy it and make it a real golf course again. Until then, I refuse to return. Cheap and still not worth it. They don't mow or keep up anything. Price said with a cart and they charged me there as well for the cart. I have played bad courses but not as bad as this one

Course conditions are bad - greens were good though. If you hit it into the rough good luck finding your ball. Could be much better if maintained well.

Don’t listen to anybody who gives this place more than 1 star. This has to be the worst codes ever. It’s not a good place for beginners and even if the weekend price is lower than other places you are better off spending the extra money. This course isn’t worth $5 to play. You couldn’t pay me to play here

Tee boxes were dirt. Fairways were dirt and weeds. Only good thing about this course was the cheap price. Wouldn’t go again.

This is a great course for someone willing to pay to play a course where the fairways are all dirt and the bunkers are over run with weeds. I played the first 4 holes and had enough. It's amazing that this place is open at all.

Let me start by saying I read some of the reviews. This course for $55 (on the weekend) is worth the money. The fairways are being redone, the tee boxes need work, the greens are very soft and well maintained. With all that being said, this course is the perfect spot for a non-stressful, relaxing and easy round. Par 70, short and easy to play. Perfect for the ones who are just learning how to play golf and perfect for the golfers trying to keep their swing in flow. If they can, redo the tee boxes, and get the fairways full of grass. This course will be a top notch experience.

If you’re new and might miss the ball a lot and hit grass, then this course is for you since you don’t have to worry about ruining the fairway or green.

Only a few good tee boxes and greens. Wasn’t worth the $55.
