Back up on 10! Photo submitted by CTGRANDIN on 12/31/2012
Course could be amazing
The greens are fast, fairways are fast, and although the white tee boxes markers were missing it was a good time. Now the bad: really no signs to direct to next holes but after a couple wrong turns its pretty easy to figure it out. $91 for green fees with non updated carts and no beverage cart to be seen through 18. Ive played a few courses in the valley that were similar if not better for almost $20 cheaper. For the amount of green fees the least they can have are cart screens or include range balls.
not for seniors
the gold tee blocks on hole #'s 1,4,5,11 ,& 12 should be moved up.
Poor tee time management
My tee time was 6 am, yet they decided it was best to start a shotgun tournament at around 8 am on the back 9. So as we made the turn we ran into this slow moving tournament which caused a backup of at least 3 groups waiting each hole. On many of the greens there were deep tire tracks going right through the center. this course had made it next to impossible to schedule a tee time as a solo.
Everything is good
Nice view, kind staff, fairway condition is so good
I'd like to play golf here again
Great staff
Great experience and friendly staff. This course is great, also forgiving for those who are not experienced.
Great price great people
Great place for a round
Super easy and great people
Best Kept Secret
If your in Murrieta you have to play Golf Club at Rancho California
Good Experience
I played the course 25 years ago when it was administered by the SCGA. The course was pristine. However, I felt the course has deteriorated since then. Not sure what happened. The course is challenging with holes on the up-slopes. Greens were in good shape. Fairways were ok, clumpy in some areas. Trashy around fairways and cart paths. Could be cleaned up. Sand traps were good. I am an 81 year old 13 hdcp.
Best kept secret
Great layout and challenging tees blue and black, if you decide to play from the whites, it is any challenging
Course condition declining
Sad to acknowledge this course is becoming a dry desert which appears to be lack of watering. With upcoming hot summer days fairways may become concrete.
1st 3 Holes Are Fun!
My 2nd time playing this course (first time was in 2022). The course was in great shape and the greens were rolling great! You’ll need to play Hole 1 strategically. Depending on your tee shot, if you don’t land in the fairway bunker on the right, you’ll need to ensure your 2nd shot will not roll into the creek before the elevated green. If you don’t roll into the creek, you’ll have a chip shot to the green for a chance at birdie. Hole 2 is a Par 3 with trouble on the left. Aim for the middle of the green on the right side and you’ll be fine. Hole 3 is an elevated tee box. A hook or a slice tee shot will be trouble or lost. Then you’ll need to hit your 2nd shot towards the left of the green to avoid the lake on the right! If you can get through the 1st three holes minimizing 3 putts or triple bogeys, you’ll break 90! 😃 It’s a well laid out track for all skill levels. The golf staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommended. It was a nice road trip from San Diego.
