Gopher holes
Lost five balls to a four legged creatures habit. Nice course layout, as long as you keep your ball in fairway. I will definitely play again. Good staff, need more alcohol selection

Hard to play unless your at least an intermediate player. Very interesting course. Long. Rather a lot of tough shots even for good players. Good conditions. Still enjoyed myself a lot.

Good practice course
Nothing fancy and in need of TLC. However, we paid $10 including cart so I can’t complain.

Not courses fault. Wasn't able to play due to injury and wasnt allowed to cancel. Again not courses fault.. still feel golfnow should have refunded my fee

Stay in the fairway
I have played this course for several years and recently returned after a 2 year golf break. It appears to be under a new management and they are trying to make some improvements. This course has a great layout and is very challenging, especially when the afternoon wind blows. The key to enjoying this course is staying on the fairways and avoiding the bunkers, which are impossible to predict. If you miss the fairway good luck finding it. The greens are in good shape for the most part and a little on the slow side. To deal with the patchy conditions our group always plays winter rules from the fairway and for the price it can be an enjoyable round.
The main reason for posting this review is to recognize the staff. They were all very friendly and made it an enjoyable experience, will be returning soon.

Dog Track
This is hands down the worst course I have ever played as far as condition is concerned. To call it a dog track is an insult to actual dog tracks. TERRIBLE condition.

Improving
The course is improving dramatically. The greens are sooo much better than they were just a month ago.
The fairways are getting better as well but there still is a problem with burrowing animals. The bunkers could use a little maintenance. I would like to see water coolers on the course again. It is getting warmer and having water available on the course would help golfers stay hydrated.
Still needs improvements
Greens show improvements. Still needs to improve bumpy fairways. Too many squirrels holes. You better do your very best to stay in fairways or else you will loose your "balls" between long grass and lots of weeds.
thats why we call it shinnecock , lol its tough as a us open

Gopher/squirrel holes in fairways and rough. Course is in bad shape and desperately needs a ton of maintenance. Would not recommend and will not be coming back.

Nice layout and excellent green condition but the fairway is really dry and hard, the rough is covered with ground squirrel holes. Love to come back again the course if I got a super deal again like this time. >_<

Course condition
The fairways were good and the rough not to high. Greens were okay.
