Pine Creek Golf Club
About
Pine Creek Golf Course is part of the La Plata Communities in Colorado Springs. The course winds through the Pine Creek Valley, providing a lush and varied landscape. The course sprawls across high plains grasslands with abundant trees and lakes coming into play throughout. The seemingly gentle terrain has tricky undulations that total over 375 feet of elevation changes. The front is a canyon-style nine while the back is more of an American links design. There are creek beds coming into play on nearly every hole as well as strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the challenging round, the golf course offers stunning views of Pikes Peak, the Front Range, and the entire Colorado Springs skyline. At Pine Creek there is also a unique elevated, target-oriented grass driving range, a practice green, and a short game area.

A heavy frost covered the vegetation as the maintenance crews blew out the sprinkler system as we played. This is the tee box of # 11. Photo submitted by skibumcolorado on 11/21/2013
I liked it
I played in April 2013, the course was maintained pretty good for this time of year in Colorado Springs, while the grass was still fairly yellow, it was kept well and it is starting to green for the summer. The greens were fast, and was hard to keep an approach on them. Drives rolled forever, luckily I was driving straight that day. It's an above average suburb course and would play it again. This course plays fairly easy.
The course was good in shape for a early spring day of golf
Overall, good experience. The maintenance team has work hard to get the course ready to blossom for spring golf in Colorado.
By far, the best public course in The Springs!
The course was extremely well maintained for winter conditions and it played excellent. A bit challenging at times but not too difficult for a high handicapper like me. I like that the homes are not so close to the course to affect my shots. Just far enough away for me that a bad slice would still not hit a house. I will absolutely play here every chance I can afford to.
Course was in great shape for mid-January.
needed to adjust to the slower green speeds but had an entirely enjoyable round.
Liked that the staff knew I had booked w/golfnow. Not always the case.
Course was in pretty good shape for Colorado at the end of November. No beverage cart. Sure could have used it. Pace of play was good. 4 hrs is great.
I would only recommend this course if there is a great special going on.
it's overpriced when compared to the value:course perspective of other courses within a 30-45 min drive.
Yesterday's round, 11/23/12, was OK. the front nine moved at great pace with no golfers ahead of us to hold things up. however, on the back somehow, things started to really slow down. it appears the starters are letting people tee off on hole 10, but they aren't considering the groups making the turn after hole 9. yesterday, the last 5 holes were HORRIBLY slow...not even worth the wait to play!
Course condition good considering time of year
Friendly staff. Fairways in great condition, greens a little rough from aeration and time of year.
Winter wonderland
Course is hard as ever, but even with snow on the ground and temperatures below 40 degrees, it was a very fun time.
Enjoyed
I really enjoyed the course. The staff was great and the course was all I thought it would be.
Pine Creek is a top quality course from the great mountain views to the challenging layout
Pine Creek has become my favourtie course in Colorado Springs. From the staff to the challenging layout to the breath taking views. Pine Creek is a must play course for any golfers in the area or visiting Colorado Springs.
Decent Course
The layout is fun, and the course is pretty well maintained. The greens are a little slow, but I would play it again.
Its ok.
Greens can be quick, true but not very receptive (firm)
Course could be great with more effort in the up keep dept.
bunkers with sand bunkers with no sand, inconsistent. Nice views.
Very nice convenient course for north end Colo Spgs
This is a nice, moderately challenging course with good views of the mountains from many points. It is a little closed in by homes along certain stretches byt they are nice homes and attractive to look at. The first hole has a significantly challenging ditch to cross at a difficult distance from the tee box. There are many elevation changes and some other good hazards which help to maintain interest and vary the way one must play the course. It's not a course that can be played well just because a person is a big hitter. It requires a lot of thinking and good tactical skills. I highly recommend it and visit whenever I can pick up a smoking deal tee time on Golf Now.
