About
The Foothills Golf Course facility offers two nine-hole, public courses and also one 18-hole course. The par-34 Executive Course is one of the nine-hole courses. The course is 2,610 yards at its longest tees. Unlike the Eighteen Hole Course at the facility, the Executive Course is quite hilly. It also has a lengthy play at the back tees. The course provides adequate length and challenge for a nine-hole course. On the premises there is also a convenient driving range and putting green, both lighted. Foothills offers other useful amenities as well such as a restaurant and pro shop. The range of courses offered at Foothills makes it an ideal location for families looking for an afternoon of golf.

No rain checks!
It was windy, cold and rainy today. Asked about rescheduling and getting a rain check. Not their policy. I was told I should have checked the weather 24 hours prior and cancelled the tee time then, and only then could I “apply” for a refund. Crappy policy.
A quick 9 in an evening
The Foothills Golf course has great services and three courses. For a quick 9, I really like to catch a tee time on the Executive 9. It isn’t extremely challenging, but it is great for honing your game when you are short on time. I usually play as a single, and I always get paired up with other folks who aren’t too serious about the game. In every case, it has been a light-hearted round. One warning, though if you are walking. Hole 6 and up to the 7th tee box is a steep climb. But take time on the 7th tee box. Grab a breath and look around. One of the best views of the foothills of the Rockies. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
Nice layout!
Nice layout on Exec 9 - challenging even with shorter holes. Nice plateaus on several holes above the more level layout of the approach areas. Nice water challenges as well!
Great course!
My home course is not open for the season, so I like to play this 9 hole course because it is so comparable to my mountain course. Rolling fairways, some uphill greens, some down hill greens.
It is a wonderful course!
Nice Day Out with a Few Issues
This was only a day or two after the Stay At Home order was lifted. The course was in acceptable condition although some of the greens had some pretty bad ring spot damage. It also appeared that the course had been recently aerated although no mention of this had been made.
There was no Marshall out and the group directly ahead of me was playing as a sixsome. Two were little kids who were sharing a bag of clubs. The group quickly got way behind their pace and were over twenty minutes late as soon as the third hole. This caused a logjam of three groups on the prior hole but no one was monitoring this. Too bad.
There were no deals on Golfnow for this course so I guess that they figure people should pay full fee for the opportunity to get out to play. I hope that changes soon.
