Ute Creek Golf Course
About
Formerly a cornfield, Robert Trent Jones Jr. utilized the natural area and the import of over 600,000 cubic yards of dirt to create the challenging Ute Creek Golf Course. The championship course has a traditional links-style layout that is said to challenge even the most avid of golfers. The public, 18-hole golf course offers 7,167 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. It features several water hazards, especially on the back nine holes, with five lakes situated on the course and two streams that wind through it. Ute Creek Golf Course's well-bunkered greens and undulating, multi-level fairways provide more interesting elements to the game.

good stuff
I love playing this course. This was my second time and it was just as good as the first.I am a beginning golfer and have only played about six courses. Ute Creek is by far the most challenging course I've ever played. At the same time it's not overwhelming.I would definitely recommend this course too high handicappers or low.
This course was in great shape
I played at 7:20, the course was well-groomed even though it had been aerated earlier in the week. I finished my round in approximately 4 hours walking. I would definitely play this course again
Best course in Boulder County
Ute Creek is a nicer course Sunset, Twin Peaks, Haystack, Bella Rosa, and even Fox Hill IMO. Best bang for your buck, rated #1 out of 27 total in the area.
Challenging Course, Challenging Crew
We were able to play Friday morning on relatively short notice. Weather : cool and rainy, course: soft and greens receptive. Lots of sand on this Jones course, so placement off the tee was important. Good shots are rewarded, and off-center drives required recovery from sand/wet rough. Only challenge we didn't forsee was the large grounds crew taking the 'right-of-way'. One of them actually removed the tee markers AFTER I had teed the ball! Never seen that before. We had to hit around 7-8 mowers on each hole on back nine. One mowed over my tee shot in middle of fairway. Really?
Great course, slow play
Played a Saturday round at 8:32 AM. Course was very enjoyable; however, the experience could have been much better if not for the 5 hours it took to play 18 holes. There was a scramble tournament that went off the first 90 minutes the course was open and they proceeded to ruin the pace of play for every golfer that followed that day. Management should not have allowed that, as the pace of play from a scramble tournament and the impact to all golfers that followed was very predicable.
Great Value, Great Course
I can't believe this course wasn't packed on a Saturday morning. I made the tee-time a week out and had plenty of slots to choose from. The course was in excellent shape, however recent rain made the fairways extremely soft, so there was no roll-oout on drives. The greens rolled fast and true.
Good course
The course is in really good shape despite several junk golfers that don't replace divots or ball marks. Great value. A few too many hacks out but that's what you'll see when you pay $36 for 18 and Walmart is still selling golf clubs.
Another great Jones course
This is a great course with some very challenging holes from the tips. This is the first time I have played the course this summer. I did notice that alot of the greens were very chewed up with ball marks. The bunkers could use a better grade of sand. Nice practice area with range and a large bucket is huge. Will defintely go back again..
Pace of play was slower than turtles
The pace of play on a Saturday was so slow I had to file taxes for 2015. The Ute's were letting people walk the course on the busiest day of the week, the course marshal did not pick up the pace of play, let people play music on the course and did not have groups play ready golf. I have played at the Ute's before and had always had a great time but I will most likely not go back.
Good course super slow they need to have the Marshall do his job
Very slow play tell your Marshall to do his job :(
Great course, little soggy
The course was pretty well kept. Looked beautiful but was a little soggy the day i played. I had 5 and 6 irons shots hit the green and literally plug or stick a few feet from impact. Could be the extra rain or too much watering. Other than that the course was beautiful and the staff was great.
Great course!
Had a great time at Ute Creek despite a 100 degree day. Course has some great variety including some long par 5's. Clubhouse employees, restaurant staff, Marshall's, were all very professional and also very friendly. We will be back!
Great challenge for all skill levels
Plenty long for the bombers. Generous lush fairways. Strategic bunkering off the tee. Sticky rough. Greens can be tricky if you don't get your approach close to the pin. Pace of play was sloooow, because we were stuck behind a foursome of turtles, but that's just luck of the draw. Paid $50 including cart on a weekday. Worth the $$ for sure.
Must Play
One of my favorite courses, always in good condition. Fast play, great layout, very difficult to moderate depending on tee selection. I certainly will return.
Jack
Tell the lady in the snack bar to get off the phone!
Overall the course was in good shape but the greens were just plain beat up from fellow golfers. Many un-repaired or poorly repaired ball marks. Holes were ragged perhaps due to not being moved because of Fourth of July.
UTE
the course was nice however pace of play was awful.
Excellent Conditions/Great Value
The course was in excellent condition. In addition to the excellent conditions I found this to be a very fun and playable yet challenging course. I would definitely recommend a round at this course and will be returning to play it again soon.
Ute creek great couse
Great course, loved every minute of it. Trying out some different irons so didn't play to while. But will be back later this year when have them down. Thanks Dave
Supurb Conditions
The course was in great shape, and the greens were rolling true. The pace of play was fabulous as we teed off at just after 6 in the morning.
