Ute Creek Golf Course
About
Formerly a cornfield, Robert Trent Jones Jr. utilized the natural area and the import of over 600,000 cubic yards of dirt to create the challenging Ute Creek Golf Course. The championship course has a traditional links-style layout that is said to challenge even the most avid of golfers. The public, 18-hole golf course offers 7,167 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. It features several water hazards, especially on the back nine holes, with five lakes situated on the course and two streams that wind through it. Ute Creek Golf Course's well-bunkered greens and undulating, multi-level fairways provide more interesting elements to the game.

Open and forgiving fairways. Greens in good shape.
Would play again for the twilite/golf now rate.
overpriced otherwise.
Good play, beyond slow pace
Myself and two friends managed to find a 1:20 time for $45 here on a saturday. We arrived an 45 minutes early to warm up, and took maybe 10 minutes to check in at the shop and grab a bucket. Unbeknownst to me, the range machine shorted my large bucket and the other 2 in my party waited another 10 minutes to have the machine refilled. We still had time to hit all our balls, since we were started 15 minutes late and had to wait for incoming carts regardless. Course was in very good condition, greens can use some TLC (or just friendly reminders to fix ball marks) and sand was in good condition. Round took over 5 hours which is beyond absurd, the amount of people stacked up was borderline irresponsible. Will try to play again, but will definitely pick a day that is likely empty.
Great course and value
This was a fun and challenging course. Overall, the course was in great condition, however quite a few of the greens were a little beat up from ball marks.
If you can hit the ball a long way, this course gives you that opportunity, however well placed bunkers, water, and raised greens challenge your accuracy, as well.
The staff were very friendly, which makes a day golfing that much more enjoyable.
My biggest complaint was that we rented clubs for my mom and dad, who were visiting from out of state. They couldn't put together what I would consider complete sets of clubs. This was relatively minor as they could borrow from our bags, but if I'm going to pay for a set of clubs I'd like a complete set.
I would definitely go back to play here again.
Rough spots but great layout
This is a great course. Played after the Club Championship and pins were tough on every hole. Plenty of challenge and great value.
great value
Large fairways, huge, fast greens.made this enjoyable. Some very long par fours that played shorter due to elevation changes. A very good value for this RTJ Group design.
Shotmaking required on some of the approaches.
nice layout , slow play
pretty scenery, sloyplay, many ball marks on greens, not repaired
Outstanding Experience and Value North of Denver
Found this great golf course on Golfnow.com and played as a single with nice people/ good players. The entire experience- from friendliness of staff to pace of play and course conditions was outstanding. Very-well maintained and challenging course about 40 miles a north of downtown Denver with a lot of water and sand traps (about 56 total we were told) and beautiful views of the Rockies. Well worth the drive and a nice contrast to more pure "desert" type courses in the area. Green fees are very reasonable, especially when you note that other comparable golf courses around Denver are 3X more expensive. Will be back many times!
Fun course to play
The course was a lot of fun to play, not too hard and not too easy. Greens were in great shape and rolled well, better than $100 courses I have played recently. Overall it was a great experience with fantastic open views of Long's Peak and the front range.
Extremely nice and friendly place to golf
My wife is just learning to golf and tends to shy away from the nicer courses. We decided to try the late afternoon deal at Ute Creek and could not be happier. Has multiple tee boxes on every hole that can be used to allow a beginner to a very low handicapper to play a challenging round. The course was in fantastic condition, the staff was extremely helpful. The design is challenging but fair. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our round and plan on golfing there often.
Sllllllooooooowwww.
Started at 430 and at 845 because of darkness I left. I was on hole 13. No starter pairing any groups up, so twosomes just went whenever they pleased. Still in good condition, greens are shaggy need rolled as they still show signs of aeration.
disappointed with tee time management
When we got to course we were informed (after we paid) that they were running 30 minutes behind. Apparently the courses Men's club under scheduled their needs an the course allotted two additional tee times to the club which resulted in our tee time being pushed back by that action.
Good condition slow play
The over all condition of the course is very good, well maintained. The biggest problem was the lack of pace of play. I'm not kidding it took 6 hours, it was brutal . If they could improve this problem the course would be fair for the money.
Best course in Longmont
Course is in great shape. Greens are good and so are the fairways. And I can personally attest to the fact that the many sand bunkers are also in great shape.
Decent distance for most of the holes. For the most part you have a little room for error on most tee-shots. The back-nine is the tougher of the two. You will see many fairway and green-side bunkers.
this course has a great view of mountains. It was well maintained.
this course has a great view of mountains. It was well maintained. The course length is right and well balanced in par 4's. green is moderate fast that I like. A lot of ball marks on the green that can be fixed by sign-board on the green. Please don't recognize they can fix those by themselves sometimes.
Fun Course, Great Staff
Love playing at Ute Creek. The course is always in better than good shape. Some well designed holes and five reachable par fives make this good time. I've yet to play a round that lasts much more than four hours. Yesterday I played it in less than 3 1/2 hours. My only complaint is I wish they would tighten up the tee times, and call who is on the tee box. But, that is very minor.
quick, cheap, and beautiful
found a screaming deal on Golf Now and decided to play this course that has been on my to do list for some time. late Saturday afternoon tee time I thought would be marred by slow play, but our foursome managed to get around quickly in just over 4 hours. Sunset over the mountains was georgeous.
Course in very good condition. Many holes with superb character made for an enjoyable round. Back 9 is unique as it has 3 par 5"s and 3 par 3"s. Nice change from the ordinary.
Look forward to playing again soon. Very pleaseing experience all around.
Fine golfing experiance.
Great golfing experience. Good conditions for time of year. Staff was very accommodating. I have nothing negative to say about the experience I had at Ute Creek.
Unfair fairways, nice greens
Late May, lots of moisture and still the fairways baron and clumpy. The greens made up for the poor maintenance of the rest of the course. Play it up for an enjoyable round.
Fun Course with Unique Back 9 Layout
Ute Creek is a fun course to play. I have played this course many times and it has always been in pretty good shape. My favorite part of the course is the back 9, which has three par 3's, three par 4's, and three par 5's. This one of a kind layout on the back 9 makes this course unique and a must play.
Fun Course
Course was in very good condition and pace of play, for a Sunday on a public course, was decent. Course is pretty wide open, but a fair number of lateral hazards force you to pay some attention to your tee shot.
