Sunset Golf Course

About
Located in Longmont, the nine-hole, municipal Sunset Golf Course is a great, affordable option for beginners and families. Opened in 1924, it is one of Colorado's oldest golf courses. Although experienced golfers may not find it challenging enough, the course provides an excellent spot to practice your short game and it is definitely one of the most scenic courses in the area with beautiful views of Long's Peak. The par-34 course covers 2,981 yards from its longest tees. The terrain of Sunset Golf Course is quite hilly and the tree-lined fairways are very narrow. No water hazards come into play but the course is well-bunkered. The signature hole is the par-4 fourth hole.

Good course for the money.
Very laid back course with some challenging holes.
Great value find
The price was as good as you get for a well maintained course. Parking 24, no parking 4s.

The view from the first hole immediately puts you in a good mood. . Everyone is friendly and always giving tips to better your game
Great 9 hole course
Grape 9 hole course in Longmont lots of shade and trees throughout the whole course.
Nicest
The staff are incredibly nice. They also have amazing breakfast burritos to get your day started!
They’re working on it
It’s so good to see maintenance workers engaged in bringing the course back. It’s a beautiful little course and it will only get better as time passes.
Laid back, great course
Great course. Trees make things interesting. Good pace.
Fair play
It’s a 9 hole executive course, par 3s and 4s. The course is fine. If it was more spread out, I think I would have felt better but the fact is, I didn’t really feel all that safe. The course is short and squeezed together so you’re literally being hit into from all sides. Pace of play was pretty slow but I would say it’s because it’s really a beginners course. But it’s strength of being pretty easy also means that it attracts not very great golfers which means you need to have your head on a swivel.
Early season round of golf.
Early season, nice to play on some green grass. The greens were good, but the course was disappointing and not in great shape. It is probably better once the grass has grown.
