Ute Creek Golf Course
About
Formerly a cornfield, Robert Trent Jones Jr. utilized the natural area and the import of over 600,000 cubic yards of dirt to create the challenging Ute Creek Golf Course. The championship course has a traditional links-style layout that is said to challenge even the most avid of golfers. The public, 18-hole golf course offers 7,167 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. It features several water hazards, especially on the back nine holes, with five lakes situated on the course and two streams that wind through it. Ute Creek Golf Course's well-bunkered greens and undulating, multi-level fairways provide more interesting elements to the game.

Don't do it
The course itself is not terrible, but.... the tee boxes are covered in divots, driving g range is worse yet. One issue was the cart paths and markers to get off the course near the greens. They were the furthest I have ever seen anywhere. So 100 yards before the green, return carts to path? They the paths are the farthest I have ever seen from the green. You are walking a ton on this course which is the opposite of using a cart, my dad was exhausted. Way too much money for this mediocre at best course for sure. I'll play elsewhere before going back
Nice Course
Good condition. Funky layout on the back nine with 3 par 3’s and 3 par 5’s. Not what you usually see but a lot of fun. Problems with the POS system at the halfway house delayed us going off the back nine. I assume this wasn’t typical. Really enjoyable experience.
Four players
My ability fits the course. Like that it’s so wide y
Great course for the price
Good layout friendly staff starters and Marshals were helpful. Would recommend this to my friends.
Fun time
Course was in great shape and staff was welcoming!
Good course for the value
Nice layout front 9 was aerated started on back 9 putting on back 9 was good front nine was harder to putt on Staff was friendly and starters and Marshals we very help full with course layout and pace of play. First time playing Ute Creek and I will be back to play again.
Ute Creek GC
Great layout with views of the mountains on almost every hole. There are risk/reward shots on most holes with bailout areas if you want to play safe. Some holes have deceptive visuals from the tee, where large landing areas actually look pinched due to the presence of bunkers or low lying wet areas that are closer or farther than appear. Your rangefinder or phone GPS will come in handy until you've played here a couple times. Choosing the correct tee box for your game is critical.
Highly recommended.
Great Day, Met Great People.
Everyone was absolutely amazing. Sam is an awesome Human Being and runs an amazing Facility
Good course in good conditions with an excellent staff and great greens
I haven't played Ute Creek in a while. The staff was really friendly. We decided to walk, which was a bit more strenuous given the heat of the day. The starter was good. The fairways were in good conditions. The sand bunkers were variable. The greens were terrific! They rolled very true. One gentleman in our group was able to roll in a 54' putt! I hit a number in the 10-20' range unexpectedly. The pace of play was fine. We did it in 4:18 basically with infrequent waits. So, if you like scoring on the greens, get out there.
Amazing condition, great pace @7am, kind&friendly staff to start out a great day
Horrible bunkers
Overall the course was in great shape but the bunkers were terrible! They were like concrete. Please find a way to soften or fluff them up or replace the contaminated sand. I’m usually pretty good out of the sand but these were impossible to make good shot out off.
Overall nice
I know it’s early in the season but dang get some water on those greens. I’m sure the greens keeper is having a blast with every pin placement 3 paces from a trap. Overall good course but come on with the greens and pins. Wanna speed up play ?
