About
Formerly a cornfield, Robert Trent Jones Jr. utilized the natural area and the import of over 600,000 cubic yards of dirt to create the challenging Ute Creek Golf Course. The championship course has a traditional links-style layout that is said to challenge even the most avid of golfers. The public, 18-hole golf course offers 7,167 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. It features several water hazards, especially on the back nine holes, with five lakes situated on the course and two streams that wind through it. Ute Creek Golf Course's well-bunkered greens and undulating, multi-level fairways provide more interesting elements to the game.

The course is in great shape. It has a lot of fun holes and I enjoyed the challenging quick greens. Very nice staff, which made it enjoyable to be there. Slow play. Had to leave the course to catch a flight after getting through hole 13 in four hours.

Excellent track in May
The course as in great condition and layout was really well developed. Fairways are ample so good for beginning golfers. Multi tiered tee boxes gives one many options for hole lengths. I played the blue which fits my handicap and it was fine.

Overall great experience
Marshall’s we’re super cool and friendly. Was supposed to be with a threesome but they didn’t show so I played as a single. Little annoyed at first because my tee time was 9:00 and the group in front of me was still on the tee box at 9:05. Once they finally let me through, I enjoyed the heck out of my round. Bunkers were filled with water but that’s expected when it’s been raining like crazy. Will be back for sure.

Exceptional
A true pleasure all around. From check in, to the starter, to the young lady working the food and beverage area, friendliness from all employees exceeded expectations. Nice practice area, with driving range, putting and chipping greens. The course is challenging yet playable for golfers of all levels. Lots of sand bunkers. Few water hazards. Fairway are in as good a shape as you will find on any course for this time of year. Tees were in great shape. The greens are big and undulating, very puttable, not too fast but not slow. This exceptional course is a must play.

Worth a Visit
Like every other course it seems in Colorado, Ute Creek had a tough winter. But the course has really rebounded nicely. Aside from unobtrusive brown spots in the fairways, the course was in really good shape. The tee boxes were fine and the greens rolled true. Just stay out of the sand, some of the bunker shots require you covering a lot of beach in order to get on the green. All of the staff were really friendly and the people we were paired with were great. Overall, a real nice day of golf with some awesome views of the Rockys in the distance.

Nice place
Very friendly place. I live in Cheyenne, and this is the second time a friend from Castle Rock and I have had a golf rendezvous here. Very enjoyable and fun place to meet and play.
