Ute Creek Golf Course

4.0 Reading. Greens were a bit dried out but the fairways and tee boxes were perfect. Great selection on the tee box, for juniors to advanced golfers. Always a good time and can't be beat for the price.

I live locally, so have been to this course several times. It’s getting pretty rough. Playing in 95 degree weather is already crazy enough, but to have almost all of the on-course water jugs completely empty was very disappointing and dangerous. The driving range is so beat up that finding a small patch of grass it nearly impossible - use mats/turf more if needed, at least it won’t damage clubs and give the grass time to grow/heal. Not worth the extra $$ right now, I’ll stick to the other two city courses for a while.

I arrived at the course 50 minutes before my tee time so I could warm up. After I hit only 4 range balls, I was called to the tee to start my round a full half hour earlier than my tee time. In my view, this is unprofessional.

The greens were inconsistent, some would hold a good iron shot, others were like concrete. Lots of sand and water, an interesting layout that is certainly worth playing, but in the high wind and with this year's greens conditions, it was overall a disappointment.

We like this course; it is close to home and you can usually get on pretty easily. The driving range is nice, and the course itself is in good condition. The only thing that would be nice, is to have better food selections in the clubhouse, other than just snack items. We did have a nice cart gal that stopped by frequently, so that was very nice. We will continue to play this course, as it is always in pretty good shape.

Really enjoyed playing the course. It was in great condition…….bunkers could use some more sand.

Even though it's been really dry the course was in great shape and the greems were running quick. Worth the 50 minute ride from Aurora and will definitely play again.

The only knock on Ute Creek over the years is the pace of play. Typically there will be 3 groups on 10, as the snack shop is not as close to the turn and people seem to need to have a 3-course meal at the turn so it is usually a problem.

On this day, it was perfect. One group there, and they moved out fairly quickly. Set the tone for the whole rest of the day, as we played in just a smidge over 4 hours.

Hoping that this wasn't luck and that this is something that has been worked on (for the record, a phone and pre-order setup on 9 tee would serve this course well to end that backup on 10).

The course is always in good shape and the layout is fun and fair. Good job on the pace, let's hope it continues!!!

It was a 5 hour round, so pretty slow, but it was prime time on a Saturday.

I enjoyed my round of golf at Ute Creek. It was my 1st time to play & the course was in excellent condition with great greens. I was paired with 3 other men & they had a hard time. One of those playing was a teenager & he had not played very much. There were 3 Seniors & we should have been playing from a more forward set of tees.

The pace of play was slow in our group because of the hardness of the course. The staff was friendly & the starter was especially helpful to me because I hadn’t played there before. I would play there again. Thanks

I had not played this course in years since returning to the Denver area so it was like brand new to me. The course hosted the Denver Golfweek Amateur Tour on a nice Saturday, not too hot, little wind. Pretty easy access / less than 10 minutes off of I-25 and probably 40 minutes from central Denver.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The practice putting green and short game area are a bit separated from the 1st tee so it's not a bad idea to allow some extra time for your warmup. The good thing is that the driving range is nearly adjacent to the 1st tee so you can get there in a minute if walking. So practice putting and short game and then go to range.

Course is walkable, not too many hills and most tee boxes are fairly short hike from last green. Fairways are generously wide, especially on the front 9, even though I was spraying it pretty badly. The course winds through a community but most of the homes are set back far enough. Greens are average size and not too many undulations so relatively flat. Subtle slopes mainly. The conditions were excellent, the fairways were well manicured and mowed cross-grid style, and the greens were a tad fast and they were true. Also the scorecard has like 8 pin locations so very specific on where the flags are located. The greens are not that large to need such detail but it's good info.

The front 9 plays a bit easier than the back 9 since the back has the creeks and native areas more as penalty areas on the back. I like the back is 3 par 3s and 3 par 5s.

Pace of play was 4.5 hours. I look forward to playing at Ute Creek again, sooner rather than later!
