About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Great golf
Staff was friendly, course was fun and we enjoyed our time.
Hyland Hills Gold Course
Played Sunday (tee time at 10:30 AM). Pace of play a little slow (just under 5 hours). No marshal sighted while on course,. The course was in good shape. Greens were a littel rough (aerated uin the last week).
Fun Course
The course is always in good shape, the pace of play is decent, the staff is friendly and the layout is good. Would recommend playing it if you haven't yet.
Muni Fever Dream
Had to walk off the 13th tee after 4 hrs and 20 min because it was getting dark and there was no no way we were going to finish the round in the next 40 min of daylight remaining. What a shame there was no Course Marshal to keep a group in front of us from backing things up for at least 4 holes. Would anyone other than Mr. and Mrs. Havercamp tolerate a pace of play equal to 20 min per hole? Nope. Perhaps things will change in a year or two. I'll ask around in 2025.
Sunday walk of the Gold Course
Men's club championship, difficult pin placements, pace was slow but bearable. Maybe leave an hour gap before allowing the public to tee off, then watch and see how long the public takes to catch up and hurry along the Men's club. I assume if you belong to the Men's club you are above average and enjoy a brisk pace of golf rather than a grind.

Playing the golds
The only complaint would be that the greens were a little torn up. And that really isn’t a shot at the course or it’s staff ( who are great.) It’s the lazy golfers who go there and don’t follow the rules. But it’s a challenging fun course that I highly recommend
Very fun. Great course
I was nervous about taking my teenage son for his first 18 hole regulation course. I thought the pressure to play very fast would be overwhelming. But, instead it turned out very well. We all had a great time and the pace of play was perfect.
