One of the toughest holes here is the second, a long par-4 with woods to the left, more trees on the right, and two large bunkers guarding the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024
-
The fifth is a gem of a par-five, starting with a terrific downhill tee shot and a view of Hartford in the distance. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024
-
Nine is a classic uphill par-4; its fairway doglegs left, then heads for this relatively narrow green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024
-
Twelve doglegs right, then ascend a small hill to a pitched green, a green that is often treacherously fast downhill. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024

Guarding the left of fairway thirteen is a prominent water hazard, but it can be as fatal as it is beautiful. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024

A golfer putts out on the green at hole fourteen, which may be the best short four-par at East Hartford. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024

The fourth, a par-3 of 148, challenges especially on the tee shot and with fast downhill putts. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/04/2022

Great value
My first time here. I wasn’t expecting much, for a muni with a very cheap GolfNow rate. But I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not an overly long or challenging course, but it has enough water, trees and well bunkered greens, to make it interesting. And it was in very good condition considering the recent lack of rain. Just a few brown patches in the fairways, but no bald spots. Greens were slow but true. I assume they’re cutting them long to protect them against the conditions. Tee boxes were very firm and hard to push a tee into. Fairways were also pretty firm. I was booming drives 20 yards longer than usual thanks to the extra run. All in all, a fantastic value for the money if you can get it at GolfNow’s hot deals rate.
Fun round
The course was in good shape, fast pace of play and helpful staff.
Working
They are working hard to make this course good and it shows.
Keep up the good work enjoy playing this course.
Nice greens !!
Greens read true I made a lot of putts , got my first birdies of the year on a fun course with plenty of room to take some big swings !! Some long holes , course is a good test for anyone’s game !
The round
Love playing with Greg and Karl. Good Guys. Grass was not cut. Greens too dry already. Losing ball on a sunny day and fairway
THE ROUGH
The rough on the course is inconsistent and to high for a municipal course with the ability of the players that play here. The fringes are not wide enough, the rough around the greens and alongside the fairways are much too long for the average people that play here, it is anywhere from 3 to 4 inches high. I hit a ball in the rough on 18 the other day after it was just cut and it took three of us to finally find it but only after we found 3 other balls. We have asked many times to have the rough down to anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 inches so that players can find their balls and not lose it or slow up play. Players want to enjoy themselves and not look for balls or take so long to play.
Putter
Play was quick and the course was in good shape. The traps needed work and some tee boxes. Overall a good day.
Thank you for your review, we hope to see you back here again soon!

Things are a lot better than it was a month ago course is looking good I love this place and the food is good
Always a good deal.
The course is fair, and offers a nice variety. Very walkable, with not as up/down hill as some other courses. For the midweek deals they offer, and location close to the highway, it’s a nice place and easy to get to from anywhere in central CT.
Came back and play today the weather was good fairways are nice and dry hit the ball very well made me feel good I'll be back again
Good course
Good course cool layout. Not the top of the line but conveniently located and good variety
Beautiful Day...Beautiful Course!
Of all the courses I've played i would say this is the most enjoyable to walk! You won't kill yourself while getting some exercise and crafting your golf skills! This course does have some drainage issues in a few areas of the fairways. However, this is the only negative. Tee boxes and greens were in great shape and rolling true and the layout of the course is fantastic. All that and done in 4 hours. What a bargain. .i'll be back!
RM
I played the course in May some rough spots on the fairways, but greens weren’t too bad. Reasonable price!
Good layout and good value
We were struggling to find a spot to play on a Saturday. Tee time for this course popped up so we jumped on it. I was pleased that we were able to tee off a little earlier than scheduled. We played the front 9. The pace was a bit slower but the course was packed. Good layout for the course, though the track was a bit wet. Overall the course is a good value and challenging enough to come back and play again.
Decent track
This course allows you to use every club in the bag... the only caviat is poor drainage when wet ... Worth a play!
Course was very busy today
Again I went out everybody in front of me everybody behind me was accommodating the pace of play was excellent can't wait till it dries up for the preseason
