One of the toughest holes here is the second, a long par-4 with woods to the left, more trees on the right, and two large bunkers guarding the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024

The fifth is a gem of a par-five, starting with a terrific downhill tee shot and a view of Hartford in the distance. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024

Nine is a classic uphill par-4; its fairway doglegs left, then heads for this relatively narrow green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024

Twelve doglegs right, then ascend a small hill to a pitched green, a green that is often treacherously fast downhill. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024

Guarding the left of fairway thirteen is a prominent water hazard, but it can be as fatal as it is beautiful. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/01/2024

Too wet to be open
Play course last Wednesday golf course far too wet for play course did not put up an advisory with GolfNow I plugged and lost four or five golf balls on the first few holes never seen a course so wet but yet still open for play this golf course should not charge full price for such a miserable experience you had a good shot and you can't find your ball because it's a foot underground absolutely ridiculous....... If you want to keep the course open with these conditions let people know straight away lower your price because the course is playing like a swamp and don't mislead people decent municipal golf course on a dry day but certainly no value here playing a sopping wet course for that kind of money
March Madness
The course was a little wet in some areas, but we expect that . You can't really complain about anything at this time. All I know is; we had a great time out there today. The weather was great, the greens are nice. Lost six ball in the fairways, other than that , we had a great time! The staff there are really friendly. I would recommend this course to all my friends and family!
Thank you for coming out. We can't wait for the weather to break soon (hopefully) so we can continue to improve our course. We look forward to having you back soon!

Great practice course
This course allows you to have a few errant shots off the tee and still get up and down for par. Love that.
Thank you for your review. We value your feedback and hope to see you again soon.
Great course
Nice course for the price and they even stay open for play during the winter weather permitting so that makes them even better
Thanks for your review! We appreciate your feedback. Come visit us again soon!
Great price
Great price and friendly staff. Course was wet but that is to be expected. This time of year. They are one of the few near me open year round, weather permitting.I will play this course again.
Thank you for coming out. We can't wait for the weather to break soon (hopefully) so we can continue to improve our course. Tell all your golfer friends next winter that we stay open as well! We look forward to having you back soon!

Great Experience in East Hartford
I played solo on Friday. Teed off at 6:30 and was done by 9:00, with a cart. Course was nice, peaceful, and the greens were in unbelievable shape. I will be back and will recommend East Hartford Golf Course.
Great for October
The course was in wonderful shape for this time of year. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
On the come back
I had heard this course was in bad shape but we took a chance anyway and were pleasantly surprised. It's still on the comeback but was in decent shape. The greens were very nice, but the rough and tee boxes were a little weedy and sparse in some some areas. I would definitely play this course again.
Father's Day
Course continues to improve, staff has put special emphasis on the conditioning from tee to green. Had a great time on Father's Day with my oldest Son who doesn't get out as much as he would like.
Billy Casper Run? Hmmm
The long and the short is that the greens are the best part of the course and the rest needs some serious work. Granted it is November but if you've played other area courses in the past 30-60 days most of them are in far better shape. This course has potential, it just needs to be tapped into in the years to come and IMHO the prices should reflect what they have for a product now.
I totally agree. There's much more work to be done to justify the prices.
quick round
I hadn't played here in a couple of years as the previous operators had left the course in terrible shape. Billy Casper golf has done a great job bringing it back. The greens are in great shape.
Absolutely ZERO VALUE here
Ok I've played here alot, and when a round would cost 25$ w/cart we get out 3-5 times a week,no that this new snobby Corp took over $38 a man during the week day explains the empty parking lot, it's a joke they rather have an empty course instead of charge a reasonable fee,the men's club is pretty much non existent, hopefully the town finds a better group to run this place
good course and value
I played this course for the first time saturday morning. We had 2 groups of 3 players and the pace of play was good. Course is fairly flat and wide fairways, but greens are fast and challenging
Defintatley now a playable course
It's May 5th, the weather is unusually cold and breezy . We played under spring conditions: wet fairways (rain last few days), bare spots on the fairways and tee boxes and greens just growing in. We were not expecting perfect conditions this early in the season. It was still a good day for golf and the course was very playable.
We started 15 minutes before our tee time (weather was iffy), walked 18 for $20 (senior rate) and finished well under 4 hours. I recommend this course for walking as it is basically flat. The course is just coming back from winter. Reseeding and fertilizing is noticeable. Winter debris has been picked up, fairways and rough have been mowed.
No complaints but two small suggestions. A sign would be helpful on the 12th tee box stating the distance to clear the right dogleg. Also, directions from the 15th green to the 16th tee box. Many newbies head for the 18th tee.
Staff was terrific and pro shop has been revamped.
I'd definitely say this course has turned the corner, after many years of miss-management, and is well on it's way back to being a very good course to play. It's a fun course that I recommend for beginners, juniors/seniors, ladies, walkers, practice rounds, a quick 9 holes, leagues, locals and as a confidence builder.
Great Course in the works
The green have greatly improved for putting since new management. Plus, many areas are being work on for improvement like cutting down some trees, new drainages on the fairway, reconstructing tee areas. The course is fairly forgiving. Their carts are a little slow and the pace of play can be slow, too. If the course continue with their rate of improvement, it will be great course. I haven't try the dining area yet.
Good overall
Very friendly staff, very accommodating nice course overall. Fairways could use a little water and grass seed. Carts very slow
Nice value for money
Nice public course, very friendly, a 4 some let us play thru.
Greatly Improved!
This course was nearly run into the ground by the last management group, but the new management (Billy Casper Golf) has made great strides to bring it back. The greens while rather slow were rolled flat and rolled true. The course has a very interesting layout with 18 unique holes including the well protected 190 yard par three 11th and the 90 degree dogleg 12th hole which requires a accurate 220 yard shot off the tee to clear the corner which is well protected by 80 ft high oak trees. Some of the par 5's are reachable in two with a big drive. There is some forgiveness off the tees in that you can hit into parallel fairways with little or no disadvantage. Over all an enjoyable challenging course.
