Hot Deal Price Higher Than Course Charges
Can you please explain to me why your hot deal was higher than what the course charges? I paid 36/player for the threesome, while the course charges only 25, that's a big difference!!!
Winter golf is what it is
The Black course is in pretty good shape for Jan 2. It was cold and windy and wet but still had a good time.

Fairchild Wheeler BLACK course, not RED.
Let's be honest.......it's not incredibly well-groomed or in phenomenal shape, but it shouldn't be! After all, it's a municipal golf course, but it's a course with a nice layout,
some challenging holes and it's priced appropriately.
What more could you really want, or expect?

Great Course but questionable practices
The course itself is very nice and well kept. Nobody in my group would complain about the course maintenance, but would complain about the pace of play for a twilight tee time. Considering it gets dark around 5 now, a tee time at 3:12 should comfortably get you through 7-8 holes, but because of the no carts after 3 rule, we were stuck behind some very slow players who were struggling to walk the course. We were trying to race in order to finish as many holes as we could, but each time we finished a hole the next group was just getting to the tee box of the next hole, so we only got 6 holes in in 2 hours when the pace of play should have been faster than usual.

Solid outing
Course was damp but in great overall condition. Greens are rolling better now that the aeration has settled. Overall a fun round.

For the price you cannot beat this two course layout! Each course has its challenges all while providing scenic views! Thankful for this gem.

Great layout, great scenery
I brought my friend and my son to play the Black course for the first time. A perfect fall day and the course was in wonderful shape. I can only imagine how beautiful the foliage around the course will look like in a few weeks.
Course was easy to follow and provided a variety of shots (some blind, some dog legs, some uphill, some downhill).
The only downside was the greens seemed a little slow and bumpy.
I would love to come back and play it again.

Nice course , decent fairways, rough was ok
They are asking too much for cart rentals $17 per player and no gps, too high for what you get, most places are $10-$12 per player for carts, but I would go back for the convience!, I guess the city of Bridgeport could care less about golfers!!!

The Wheel - a solid neighborhood course
The staff could not have been better and was very focused on our safety.
The greens were fuzzy but in good condition.
The fairways were in good shape given the amount of play the course gets.

Good experience
Played in the middle of the week, in the middle of the day and it was still under four hours. Nice course. Well worth the money. Nice snack bar.
