Day started at 41 degrees. Hey!, this is New England. Friendly and eager to help pro shop attendant promptly took my reserved tee-time. Kart was waiting for me. Started at 8:30AM after warm up. Course was clean. Mowers were going and drivers showed courtesy in holding their job while hittjng the ball. One if them actually spotted and showed were ball landed. Some repairs were done at hole 12, had to skip. An employee drive me back to my car after dropping kart.

Always difficult when maybe the toughest hole on course is # 1. Great miw of holes at Gilead. A real joy to play. Good shape and great value. This is the best value in the area. Off the back tees the course offers 6500 yards of a great mix of holes. Currently the 12th hole is being worked on to enhance the landing area of your 2nd shot on a great risk/reward Par 5.

First time playing the Gilead side this year. Course was still a little wet, but overall in good shape. Greens were rolling decently in the afternoon when the sun came out. Pace of play was slow. Sent a group of 3 walkers out right before us.

Had a 1:15 tee time from golf now. When we got there there were ten or more people waiting to tee off. There were no carts and no pull carts. I had to park on the other side of the course and walk over. The starter said I wouldn't be getting out until 2:30. I was frustrated because I drove a good distance to play. Also I paid in cash because their credit card machine was down. Not a lot of communication here. Not overly friendly or accommodating either. I expect more for he money. I got a refund and was lucky to play another course. They did not seem prepared for a big golf day

The Gilead Highlands Course at the Blackledge Country Club is my first golf experience living in Connecticut since my recent relocation from Northern Virginia. The Gilead Highlands Course is a par 72 course that provided an enjoyable and challenging round of golf in a countryside setting. The course was in excellent condition for the Fall season, and the greens were fast and well maintained. I was impressed with the friendly and accommodating nature of both Golf Professional John and starter Dave at the Gilead Highlands Course. I would recommend this course to everyone seeking an pleasurable and memorable day of golf.

a challenging course in great shape. playing from the blue tees, you have to make quality shots. the greens roll nicely and are quick with a lot of movement. I had a very fun round

Good course, good people! Finally got a chance to play this course this year.

Really enjoyed our round on this beautiful rural course in Hebron, Ct. It was only around 50 degrees the day we played, but the course way in super shape with great greens & bunkers. We were a twosome & 2 foursomes let us play through on holes 2 & 4, and we still finished in under 3-1/2 hours. I definitely recommend playing this course, & they have great rates for Fall. Thanks again to the friendly & competent staff.

I would give it a c. it is late in the season and course shows it. Very narrow

Played Gilead in early October on pretty fall day. Course is in very good condition - not many divots. Staff doing constant work on bunkers, and blowing leaves off fairways and greens. Only complaint is that the speed of the greens is not consistent between holes.

Every time I look at my choices to play, this course always comes to the top. I live 45 minutes away and have many options of playing courses within 15-20 minutes of where I live but the value and the staff makes it hard to not select this one. Easy to get tee times, great value, very nice staff, course is well maintained…..we love playing here.

Greens in top conditions, sand traps need some work, staff very friendly, Fair but challenging

Front nine is very playable, but the back is much more of a challenge. Lots of walking because you casn't get the caret to the fairway.

I play Blackledge a fair amount of rounds per year. I am pleased to say that the course was in beautiful shape. The maintenance staff is doing a wonderful job. Greens were absolutely beautiful. They were fast and rolled true. Had a relaxing mid week round with little traffic. I would recommend getting out there soon it is a wonderful course to play in the fall.

Play here about five times a year and always enjoy myself. Course is always in good shape. Always start on time and round takes a reasonable amount of time, 4 hours. A playing partner has complained about the walking when you have a cart as they often keep you on a cart path and your ball may be far away on the other side of the fairway.

I always enjoy playing on this property. My favorite of the two courses is Gilead Highlands. It is in fantastic shape and it is enjoyable to play. It really is a great value.

Black Ledge is a treat that everyone should play. The course has 36 holes, so you can play all day. The condition is very good and there are three sets of tees (plus womens) so everyone can enjoy. Worth the trip from where ever you live.

Fairways & Greens are in great shape, would play here again for sure! They do a great job at Blackledge CC. Don't hesitate to play this course.

course was in very nice shape. the greens were a little slow but they were all the same so it was easy to get use to. pace of play was great for a busy friday afternoon.
