Whitney Farms is Great but….
Whitney Farms is great but Golf Now is not. Their restrictions are ridiculous. I had an issue using credit on my account. To make things better they gave me a few free credits but you can only use them on Hot Deals after 12 noon. Do you know how many courses in my area offer Hot Deals after 12? NONE!!! What a scam.
Back to Whitney Farms…. Highly recommend this course if you want a real golf challenge.
Challenging
Whitney Farms Continues to be one of the most challenging but mostly fair courses in CT. The only knock I have is that most of the greens are turtle backed.
Play was so backed up, We picked up and headed for club house after the 14th hole. People were playing two shots on most holes, no rangers were out on the course. I had a 2:36 tee time and picked up because of darkness.
Great Course-Not Easy
Great round of golf, relatively quick…grill open …greens we’re aerated but still pretty true…will be returning frequently
Great Course . Recommend Not trying to Walk
Course is in great shape and nicely laid out. The Greens are fast and most have multiple breaks. However, the course is very hilly and difficult to walk.
Because we were not aware of the course layout and the obstacles ahead that were not visible from various shots we lost a number of balls and luckily also recovered several after a longer than normal search due to the fall leaves obstructing our vision. The course was in beautiful condition however with the exception of the usual fall foliage on the edges.
