Great Course, but...
...slow play ruined the day. My god people, play from the tees that realistically suit your game. The big challenge on this course are the sloped and quick greens. Take that into account when choosing the tees. Slow groups - let faster groups play through!! A little courtesy won't cost you a dime! And get a ranger, a marshal, a sheriff, or a state trooper out on the course to get people to move for Christ sake!! Waiting on every single shot of the day and having 3 foursomes stacked up on #18 waiting to finish is a little too much, IMO.
End of rant.
Love playing CT National. The conditions are always nice and the greens are some of the most challenging around. No boring flat greens here!
The front nine pace was very slow. The back nine was better. Thought being early in the season it would have been in better shape

Always great shape !!! Fast greens !! Great place to play !!!
Challenging
This course is for the above average player it is very challenging but also lots of fun conditions were absolutely superior for anybody who wants to have a good day I would strongly suggest playing this course
Always a favorite
It's about an hour and ten minute ride for me, yet i will do it frequently. Great layout good mix of holes, just dont want to get above the hole here. The more you play it the more nuances you find. Just a great track
Great "open" course in very good condition
By open, I mean the fairways. Great course for those, like myself, that need a little leeway on shots down the fairway. Not a ton of hazards to frustrate me. I'm hopeful, that the next time I play there, the greens will be a little softer and the ball won't roll down every slope to the bottom. The starter was very personable, and made our first visit a pleasant one.
