Great fun
Greens are in great shape and turn everything on fun. They're doing some much needed improvements
Great Layout, Amazing Greens
Ct National is a wonderful public course that should not be missed. The course is always in fantastic condition, greens typically run fast, with lots of twists and turns. No two holes are the same. Lots of Risk/reward opportunities.
Only downside, is the restaurant has not come back since covid (hopefully this changes)

The course is in excellent shape. It plays with similar difficulty and enjoyment as Granite links or Pinehills. Worth the trip. Excellent
Awesome Gem of a Course
It’s out of the way but we’ll worth the trip. The course was emasculate and the routing of the holes were a blast! A must play!
Superfast Greens!
Greens are as fast uphill as downhill! Five hour round today unfortunately at 11:30am on a Friday despite an 81.
great place to play
I have played here several times and always found it to be a great track that everyone should play. I will say, though, that the speed of the greens made it nearly impossible to play a normal round. Even when putting from belwo the hole if you missed the cup it would virtually fly past. The greens have plenty of slope/undulations in them without making them U.S Open fast. It's supposed to be a place where the average daily fee player can play
terrific find in rural eastern Connecticut
This place is a gem. They have done a wonderful job of resurrecting this layout. I could not have enjoyed it more, and I will be back!
Great Course, but...
...slow play ruined the day. My god people, play from the tees that realistically suit your game. The big challenge on this course are the sloped and quick greens. Take that into account when choosing the tees. Slow groups - let faster groups play through!! A little courtesy won't cost you a dime! And get a ranger, a marshal, a sheriff, or a state trooper out on the course to get people to move for Christ sake!! Waiting on every single shot of the day and having 3 foursomes stacked up on #18 waiting to finish is a little too much, IMO.
End of rant.
Love playing CT National. The conditions are always nice and the greens are some of the most challenging around. No boring flat greens here!
The front nine pace was very slow. The back nine was better. Thought being early in the season it would have been in better shape
