Fast greens
Had a great time playing this course. The fairways and tee boxes were in good condition with just a few burnt spots due to the weather. The greens make this course. They are fast and slope left to right and front to back. Recommend spending 20 minutes on the practice green to get used to the speed. If you don't 3-putt at least once or twice on this course I would be surprised. The course layout is hard but fair. The car girl came around often. My only problem with this course was the pace of play. 5 hours to play 18 holes on a Friday morning. There was no starter or Ranger on the course,really should have had a ranger as the twosome in front of us couldn't keep up with the group ahead and hadnt the courtesy to let us play through. That said I would recommend anyone to play here and hope you have a hot putter as you will need it.
Hard greens
The greens were extremely hard and nothing would stay. A good shot to the green would roll off, very frustrating. To add to the frustrations, we waited on every hole, one of our foursome left before finishing...waiting was ruining his game. They should space out tee times more to make up for newcomers to the game that take extra time for every shot etc.
Odd
Definitely odd layout narrow fairways almost got hit by 4 balls a lot of sand traps and many hills around greens. Been playing A long time and never seen anything like it.
Just a great public course
I live over an hour away and make the trip a few times a year, The course is always in great shape and you really need to make your score before you hit 14-18, the toughest stretch on the course. Hole #8 aim for the far left side of the green the ball will always roll dead right
This course has an amazing layout
This course is great. I’m not the greatest golfer but this course wasn’t too difficult while also allowing me to work on certain parts of my hand and every hole could be approached a little differently
Great Course
I've played here several time in the past (about a dozen or so) but I had not played here in a couple of years. The course was in fantastic condition. The greens were fast, the fairways beautiful and everything very well maintained. The weather was extremely hot but the course was operating a window for cold drinks (although the club house was closed due to COVID-19). This really is a great place to play where you can be challenged without extreme difficulty and play a beautiful course.
