3rd: par-4, 430. This Cape design tempts you to take the shortest route down the fairway toward the green (on left). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

7th, par-3, 220. A well-guarded and contoured green; a pleasant backdrop. Seen here from its left flank. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

8th: par-4, 352. Green complex at this short and steeply downhill hole--made perilous by a pond. Eagle potential, however. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

The par-4 14th, 447. Long, beautiful, and possibly deadly. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

Sixteen is another excellent, long par-4 concluding on this green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

18th, par-5 of 588. The signature hole? I’ll go for that. Great bunkering from Mungeam. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

Great course
Course is in good shape for such an early play. Already beginning to turn green in some areas. I always have a great experience here but was upset that the course was cheaper to play by calling directly.
It cost me $3.00 more to go through Golf Now.
Anyone remember when GN was a way to save money? Now it cost more and results of searches sometimes don't even have the price offered that comes up on the search results. I have seen a serious decline in using the site. Call direct.
Pure golf - will be back
Played just after opening after the winter break. Course was in better condition then I expected. Nice layout, pure golf. No distractions. Look forward to playing when the courses is prime shape. Nice staff.
Great value
I really like this course as it is open enough so you don't get into trouble on most holes on a missed drive but there are bunkers and water on some holes that make it challenging enough.
Enjoyale Winter Golf
Although I live in Connecticut, this was my first round of golf at this golf course. I encountered a traffic problem enroute to the course, and called the Pro Shop to inform them that I would not make my tee time. I did finally arrive 45 minutes late, and was greeted by Ted in the Pro Shop. He gave us a quick overview, and we started our round. There were only a few golfers on the course, and were pleasantly surprised that the course was in nice condition for December. The course design providd a good variety of holes. Both the fairways and greens were in excellent shape. I avoided the bunkers but noticed that they were not well maintained this time of the year. Stoney and suffering from some water erosion. I still enjoyed playing the course. My wife and I played 18 holes in 2 hours and 51 minutes. I would recommend playing here to above average golfers. You need to able to put your drives in play, and target your shots. Although the 19th hole was closed, it looked loke a nice place to enjoy a quick lunch and refreshment. The carts were in fair operating condition, and cleaned upon completion of our round. It was worth the one hour drive and another hour stuck in traffic. I am looking forward to playing another round here in the Spring.
great conditions
it was a bit chilly on Monday but the course was in excellent shape . I had difficulty finding distance markers and after the round I learned there were side distance markers for 125, 175, and 225 i believe. This would have been helpful to know and next time i will ask. Staff was most accommodating and the course although a bit remote is well worth the drive
Great layout
Played here many times however I traveled over 45 miles to play again. I like this course. Challenging layout. Although its fall, the greens play quick careful of the break.
Bang for buck
This is theeee best best bang for your buck in the RI and CT area. Great, fair layout. Always in good condition and the food is amazing. Love everything about it
Nice day
Had a nice autumn day. Course was in good overall shape with only minor issues here and there. A good course that could become a great course with some minor improvements. Barber poles and GPS in carts would be nice. Definitely going back when it warms up again next year.
Great course, slow play
Course was in great shape. Pace of play was slow, 5 1/2 hr round!
Pace of play
Played yesterday and it took 5:20 minutes to complete the round. No evidence of anyone encouraging pace of play. A 5 hr plus round is unacceptable at this course
Great course
I always look forward to playing Ct. National. We booked as a twosome. Unfortunately we were paired with another twosome that had very poor etiquette. It's not the courses fault.
Nice course
Enjoyed the round, course has a good layout rather challenging, a lot of ungulation in the greens my only complaint is that there was no arification alert when booking and the greens condition was less than desirable
Connecticut National a Gem in the Woods
Our foursome has played this course many times. It is always enjoyable, fairly challenging, and usually in good condition. This round was played in ideal conditions, fairways were were in very good conditions and greens were fabulous....fast with some difficult pin placements. One of our most enjoyable rounds at Connecticut National. And what made it even better was the good guys took the nickel!
Holly Molly...Worth the Trip
Outstanding venue and well worth the ride to play this gem. From the tips this place will present a challenge but there are at least four sets of tees so everyone can have fun. Greens are really fantastic...this place is well maintained all the way through...you will not be disappointed by anything...fabulous clubhouse too with great staff! Played on a heavy day for maintenance (36 holes) so there was a large crew working hard to keep this place pristine. You cannot go wrong playing here. Thanks!!!
Great Track
Nice course. Great for a stop on trip between NY & Boston.
