Painful
Probably won't be going back for a while due to the painful place of play and drunk players on course. Ranger was not present and players disregarded their holding up course.
Afternoon chaos
Course is in good shape and expected to be slow play based on a 1:30 tee time. What we didn't expect is the drunks two groups in front of us holding up the course. The ranger/pro shop should have gone out tonthe course as two groups quit and there was lag time between starting and finishing.

Beware Handicapped Golfer
My ability to walk is limited by circulation problems. I also wear an off-loading brace for a damaged arthritic knee. Generally I request a Handicap flag for the cart or ask to remove the GPS restrictions. I forgot to do so and was admonished by the Ranger. I told him that I would get a Handicap flag for the cart.
I was told in no uncertain terms that the course makes no accommodations for the handicapped golfer. He also added that if I had a physical limitation that I should not play their course. In other words “You’re not welcome “
I have never played a course that has a policy like this. I’ve never played a course that did not have handicap flags for the carts.
For those of you that have physical limitations be aware of the lack of customer care at Southington CC.
Surprise
Fantastic experience. 6:00 am start time. Cold and no range so it was a rough start. The gentlemen I joined didn’t care. Very accommodating and supportive.
They all knew the course well and shared local knowledge.
Friendly staff all around. Tee boxes good and the fairer mostly approachable. Greens were challenging but reasonable.
We were the first group so pace wasn’t an issue.
I’ll definitely be back (if they will have me).

Great course ! Grounds crew staff does an amazing job every day. The course is always in phenomenal shape!!!!
Gotta do it at least once
A bit hilly for walkers, but well taken care of. A challenge, and great time.
Great First Impression
Aside from the lack of a driving range and only having a small chip and put area, I enjoyed playing this course. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great condition. The sand traps need some love.

Great conditions but cart path only
Most of the time you go there it is cart path only and really it is only needed for the first 5 holes. Started was a bit pushy about teeing off before your time even though you are stilll waiting for a guy in traffic with still 5 mins to our tee time
