southin gton cc hidden gem
great staff greens excellent some very tough holes some easy holes, some tricky holes
Okay Course
Course was very wet from rain the day before. Staff said the course does not drain well.
Every time in the past, when I booked a hot deal I received my own cart. Not today, there were enough carts but had to share.
Course was muddy wet and windy
The course was very very wet
Was cart path only and when you walked to your ball your feet sunk in the grass the suction would almost take off your shoes and usually had to move your ball to higher ground
so you weren't standing in water
Southington mid Nov
Course was well maintained as far as leaves and the greens were in excellent shape. Perfect bonus day of golf this late in the season.
Nice Course
Good place to play, but was surprised to find it still wet and cart paths only after a few dry days. But this has been the case everywhere this rainy golf season...

Course was in excellent shape and the leaf management was tremendous for this time of year. Front 9 had essentially no leaves. Greens were rolling true and it was a tremendous fall day although a little windy but not as bad as forecasted.

The course is in great shape, greens are fast and roll true. Only issue I had was pace of play which is usually an issue almost anywhere on a public course. Staff was pleasant and helpful with the pace of play issue. And a few groups let me through so I could finish my round instead of waiting behind them. I recommend this course.

Great Course - Slow Pace
Went to play à full 18. I was paired with two extremely friendly members, Mark and Dave.... Great Guys to play with. Course was very wet and it was Cart Path only due to mother nature. The pace was average to begin the front 9 but by the 5th hole or so the pace slowed to a crawl, occasionally waiting 10 minutes to tee off on the next hole. 5 hours in and we were only on hole 14. Unfortunately, my partners left due to the pace but I was able to finish. This is an Awesome course to play and I will be returning, possibly considering a membership because of Mark and Dave. My only suggestion is to make sure the pace is moving along. Overall I would say 4.5 Star 🌟

The best course I've played this year.
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Impeccably kept, the tee boxes and greens were fantastc. Didn't have a single dead spot in any fairway, rough was playable and not penal. Haven't played here in a few years and had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Easy to get to, I will most definitely be back

There is a good restaurant with a variety of meals to choose from.
