Southington Country Club

Went to play à full 18. I was paired with two extremely friendly members, Mark and Dave.... Great Guys to play with. Course was very wet and it was Cart Path only due to mother nature. The pace was average to begin the front 9 but by the 5th hole or so the pace slowed to a crawl, occasionally waiting 10 minutes to tee off on the next hole. 5 hours in and we were only on hole 14. Unfortunately, my partners left due to the pace but I was able to finish. This is an Awesome course to play and I will be returning, possibly considering a membership because of Mark and Dave. My only suggestion is to make sure the pace is moving along. Overall I would say 4.5 Star 🌟

Exemplary standards throughout the course !!

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Impeccably kept, the tee boxes and greens were fantastc. Didn't have a single dead spot in any fairway, rough was playable and not penal. Haven't played here in a few years and had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Easy to get to, I will most definitely be back

It's a nice course to play. Very good condition. Friendly staff.

There is a good restaurant with a variety of meals to choose from.

From tees to greens Southington does a great job. Will play there again

The course is in great shape. From the tee box to greens. The staff doing the work on the course have done a great job.

Course well maintained, most holes are different in nature. Course has variety of hills and flat holes. Greens Putt true and are relatively fast. Worst part ranger doesn't enforce speed of play. Our round took 4 hours and 40 minutes not bad but not good either. I will come back again.

I did real well this day. I had a 98 which I achieved my goal of getting under 100. Really enjoy corse. Usually very busy on weekends. Recommend for people to come and golf.

First 4some out at 6am informed had ( we did tee off 6:15) to be off by 10:00 because of a tournament. No problem but at 8th hole at 7:55 the pro came up and told us we were 15 minutes behind pick up the pace. With out holding anyone up. Well let me tell you the 4 of us were in the parking lot loading our cars at 9:40. 3 hours 25 minutes. Just don’t understand why he did that.

Conditions were spot on considering they experienced torrential rain just 2 days prior.

Love coming here. But need drinking water there was none.

I’m a fan of this course, especially since it’s close to where I live. The only thing that can be a bit annoying is that the ground can be very wet at times and there tends to a “carts on path only” rule in play regularly because of it. There is also an older gentleman that rides around to make sure you stick to that rule. He’s not always the friendliest either. However, because they are a bit strict, the course is in great shape. They also have a nice spot to grab some grub and beer after the round. Would recommended to anyone.

So it was 90+ degrees today. There are two water fountains on the course, one on the front nine, the other on the back nine. But the water was milky color. I found out that these fountains have not been maintained since the pandemic. But to have no water on the course during the heat wave is intolerable. The owners are well known in Southington. They have a reputation for running a class business. But to take our money and not care for our health is intolerable.
