Raceway Golf Club

Course was in great shape. No delays, done in four hours.

I had never played this course before, but heard several good things about it from people who had. So, when the Safari Club chose to play there it seemed like a great opportunity to try it out. What a wonderful surprise it was to play this golf course!

Great greens and incredibly well kept and well manicured fairways. It presents itself in a park like pristine condition and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. This is one of those courses the Safari Club wants to go back to again.

Don't let the name or the appearance of the parking lot located next to the speedway fool you. This track and I mean the Golf course not the Racetrack, is one of the best around. Well laid out with very interesting holes, which are maintained to the highest standards. The long time Club Pro and his staff make sure your experience here will be one to remember. The 19th hole was very good too.

I played this course for the first time with my friends in the Safari Club, and was pleasantly surprised with the course. Generous fairways, strategic bunkers,and well contoured greens made this tract a pleasure to play. Tee areas are huge and most greens are huge, giving lots of options for course setup. Keep the ball in the short grass and you will be rewarded. You might be rewarded with wildlife sightings also. (I saw some bear scat on a couple of the fairways)

First time playing this course. Many blind shots from the T. Greens are very tricky, hard to read them. and fast. Would like to play this course again. The course is in good shape. We even watched the race cars go around the track for a while. I didn't eat there but the food looked good.

always a fun round at Raceway I travel an hour and 20 minutes to play this course. the course is mainly wide open, with some interesting holes like number 6 + 12, the greens are always fun to put on,

Raceway is a nice course and I'll continue to play here. Never in over 50 years of golf have I had to endure very loud blowing of the tees and fairways while playing a round. Tractor mounted and tee cutter mounted blowers working together that were very loud and operated by workers who were seemingly oblivious to golfers very nearby or deliberately trying to disturb golfers. I'm going to inquire next time prior to play if blowing will be going on before teeing it up at Raceway. I can't believe that the course superintendent was aware or present while this was happening.

This is my new favorite course. It's in excellent condition. This is one of the hottest driest Summers we've had in recent history and the course wouldn't reflect it. The deal through Golf Now was a decent price. I find the layout of the course is easy to navigate after you've played it a few times. The greens are very fast and challenging. In my opinion the only negative about the greens are some pin placements are impossibly difficult.

Going in for shoulder surgery today and was able to squeak a round in at Raceway. I played it 20+ yrs ago and don't remember the course, that's why I have it a yes for first time. Very playable and in great condition. Greens were fast. Made a few mental mistakes due to not knowing the layout but had one of my best rounds for my short golf season.

we arrived at the course one hour early because they were predicting storms later in the day. Our ttime was 12:04 and there were no golfers waiting to play so we asked if it was ok to go early and his reply was since we used Golfnow.com absolutely not!! Come back at noon and I'll give you the key to a golf cart. That's exactly what he did. The course was in good shape. If the staff was more accommodating I'd be likely to return but this certainly would not be my first choice!!!!

I loved playing this golf course which is a great deal.

Course was in excellent shape. Grass was exceptionally green given the current lack of rain. Restaurant has excellent food.

For first timers you need someone with you to adivse where hazards like ditches that cross the fairway are. You cannot see them nor are they identified on scorecard maps. Greens are extremely large and contain multi tiers but some have silly mounds that make it impossible to get close to pins on approach shots. The bunkers are not bunkers. They are gravel pits and I do mean crushed gravel. The 6th hole is a silly par 5 that is U shaped. Your t shot will run severely left and away from your next shot. You have to land a perfect 2nd shot to have any chance of crossing a pond to an elevated green. Multi digit scores will face you if you don't play 3 perfect shots in a row.

Well kept, challenging layout. Greens are well kept and balls are "findable " in the rough.

I've played this course a few times and every round has been well over 5 hours long. This past time I played they had 178 golfers on the course and the pace of play was atrocious. We waited at least 10 minutes on every tee and before every shot. The other golfers had very little golf edicate, screaming on the course, wearing Hawaiian button down shirts, and taking multiple balls off the tee. it's a great layout and the maintenance crew does a great job getting the course in shape, but he management is a shame.

Course was in great shape. Some tough pin placements for someone who didn't know the coarse. We got stuck behind a fore some that was very slow. Could have used a ranger but a perfect day.

Very nice course, with scenic views. The 2nd par 5 is a double dogleg (UShaped) that is very hard, but cool! Fairways are open but if you hit in in the rough you will need a weedwhacker!

We played midday on a Monday and the pace of play was excellent. The course was in great shape with lush fairways and smooth greens. Friendly pro shop staff was helpful. Tee times were well managed. This course would rate 5 stars if there were senior tees since some of the par fours are about 400 yards long. All in all, a great value for the money.
