Great facility and super friendly staff. Has excellent practice facility as well.

We're going back on 8/21/13. Grass on a couple fairways got a fungus from July's extreme heat. Other than that the course was in very good condition. Greens were excellent, Many 3 putts as downhill putts which didn't go in the hole kept rolling & rolling. Looking forward to our return visit next week. (I used to play much better but had a medical issue 16 months ago)

the course is in better than good shape. the weather has been tough so they are doing a fine job on maintaining.

Thinking persons course. Lots of club choices to make. Relatively fast greens.

We were three players in our group .The first nine was super the course was in good condition.,the drinking water was excellent.We finished in one and a half hrs.On the 10th tee we came to astand still for 25 min and a foursome ahead of us went back to play the frount holes again.,after getting started on 10 again we waited for a three some every shot .there was a twosome ,Threesome ,threesome and our threesome.
The fairways were in poor condition lots of bare dirt that needs to be reseeded.on last 10 holes like to much water and sun boiled the grass off the fairways. Time on back was Two and three quarters to play and no rangers in sight. disappointing nine holes.Last year played an enjoyed it emensly.

The course is slowly turning into wallingford tradition, its a shame. Completely burnt out fringes on most greens. Greens were chewed up and bumpy. Fairways were dead in many places, the places in the fairest that were not dead were cut too short and mainly dirt. Wouldn't consider going back until next year.

Pretty challenging course. Has good mix of long holes and short holes. The short holes require accurate shots. Staff was great.

Excellent course for the $. Used to be a private CC, the Tradition has done a great job bringing it back to condition after it fell onto hard times. Course is tough, takes the driver out of your hands on many holes, and course knowledge is key to know where you want to land many tee shots. A GPS would be very helpful here. Not sure if they sell yardage books, but if they do, I would pick one up if I were to play again.

Staff was friendly, but I arrives about 10 minutes prior to my tee time (my fault, got lost on the way to the course..GPS would have helped me then too!) and was rushed to the tee, even though there were two groups that still had to tee off, so I could have taken my time, and settled in.

All in all a great value compared to the other courses in the area.

I have played this course previously and have high expectations and was not disappointed. I booked an early weekday tee time for 2 players (8 AM on Friday). We were pleasantly surprised to arrive and find no wait, so we teed off immediately and finished in about 3 hr 40 min. The current streak of very hot & humid weather must be keeping play down. The tees, fairways and greens were in very good condition. My only gripe was that we did not see the beverage cart until 11 AM and at that point we were on 17 and wrapping up and she blew right past us without pausing - her loss of a generous tip from 2 thirsty players. We went to Seasons (the restaurant) and a a delicious lunch with cold beverages. A fine morning of golf to jump start the weekend.

We got the hot deal so it was a great price. Fairways and tee boxes are in good shape. Around the greens it was a little dry and burnt in places. Play can be slow at times, not sure if a ranger is on staff, haven't seen one the last few times we played. Concession stand not open at the turn. Plenty of water on the course nice since its so hot out. Will come back again.

Course is in good shape. The Tradition has done a great job bringing this place back to life. It is an old, formerly private, club with a lot of history so it was nice to see it revitalized. The new owners have invested considerable money into both the course and clubhouse. The restaurant is also very good. Nice job all the way around. Only complaint: The starters are pushy.

Course was in good shape following rain that morning. Some holes have significant elevation changes. Doglegs require accurate placement off the tee and second shots.

Pleasure to play- variation of hole ;layouts- some open fairways- well maintained. Nice clubhouse with good food and views.

OAK LANE NOW BEING RUN BY THE TRADITIONS GROUP HAS THE POTENTIAL OF BECOMING ONE OF THE REALLY SOLID CT COURSES. THE COURSE LAYOUT IS NICE AND CONDITIONS ARE COMING AROUND. UNFORTUNATELY THE STAFF MUST NOT BE TRAINED PROPERLY. THE RANGER NEVER GREETS YOU WITH HELLO, ITS USUALLY A LOOK AS IF YOU ARE DISTURBING HIM. AND AS A SINGLE, THE TASK OF MATCHING ME WITH A GROUP WAS FOR HIM INCONVENIENT AT BEST. THE RESTAURANT BARTENDER WAS WATCHING TV IN THE DINNING ROOM, AND ACTED PUT OFF BY MY REQUEST FOR GATORADE WHICH HE DIDN'T RESTOCK AND NEEDED TO GET FROM THE STOCK ROOM, WITH NO APOLOGY FOR A ROOM TEMP. BEV. ON A 92 DEG. DAY. THE PROSHOP ASSISTANT, A YOUNG MAN, HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL.

To do well you'll need to hit all your shots from fairway woods to wedges. Greens had nice true roll. Tee boxes (other than a soggy #11) were in good shape even after playing after a full shotgun tourney..

Beautiful course, hampered by a slow foursome in front of us, well maintained, polite staff.

Will play again in the future. Green were thick and moderately fast.
