Baywood Greens

I gave the course a four star rating. It would have been a five except for the slow play and exceedingly slow greens. Definitely a good value for the money! Bring a few extra balls as there is a lot of water on the back nine.

From the time you arrive at the backdrop, you were made to feel like a guest of a private club. The staff is extremely helpful, and the assistant even went out of his way to find my golf partners club had cover that was left at an early hole.

Course magnificently laid out the signage, though is a little weak, but overall scores it better than bear trap

One of the prettiest woodlands courses that I have played. White tees are still manageable for this senior player.

Would love to play again but with being retired the cost is a little steep

This has always been one of my favorite courses. Rates are higher so I have to watch for when they come back to earth to play. I'd have to say I was less impressed this time as it seemed less cared for. Still a great course but just a bit more ragged around the edges. Staff are great. Nice 19th hole.

Can’t say enough good things about this course. I love it. It’s definitely a challenge but super fun. I will play Baywood whenever I get the chance.

I am a private club member but also play a fair number of public courses. Baywood feels like a private club. The crew of guys in their 50’s and 60’s greeting you and cleaning your clubs after the round is a really nice touch. Also the starter waits until the group in front of you is off the first green before he lets you tee off. Made for a comfortable pace of play.

The course layout and conditions were both in great shape. Greens were somewhat dry and fairly hard/firm which made opportunities limited for this average golfer. Staff was not as pleasant as the greens in comparison. We were rushed to the first tee 15 earlier without much explanation. Then throughout the round, the rangers would keep telling us we were behind the pace of play. We had a twosome in front of our foursome and the following foursome was two holes back most of the time. This was very bothersome and unnecessary. BTW we finished at 4 hour 30 minutes. I would expect some grace when we payed $169 for 18 holes.

Friendly starter, beautiful course. Honestly the top shore course in my opinion. Just do it!
