Hooper's Landing Golf Course

About
Hooper's Landing Golf Course (formerly known as "Seaford Golf & Country Club") sprawls across more than 200 acres of gently rolling terrain. Constructed in 1949, the course has a classic design that is accessible for players of all skill levels. There are some tight holes that will make you think twice before pulling out the driver but they are nicely balanced by some wide-open holes where you can grip it and rip it. Though the golf course is relatively short at 6,725 yards from the back tees, the small, well bunkered greens offer plenty of challenges. The approaches to the greens demand accuracy, which will be further tested by water hazards and trees. Hooper's Landing Golf Course begins with a tricky dogleg right, a par 4 with a green that is not only heavily guarded by bunkers but it also sits above the fairway.

Great value
Found staff extremely friendly. Course was in great shape. Looking forward to playing it again.
The greens are in very good condition
This course is enjoyable to play. I will go back again. They are great pricing breaks for this course on Golf Now
Couples Day
My girlfriend (who only plays a few times a year) and I played the course yesterday for the first time, This was a great day, even though we got hit with a very very light shower of rain, it felt refreshing good. It is a great course for those who play often, as well as, those that hardly play. Each player will find its own challenges with this layout. Not being pressed by a lot of playing groups in mid-afternoon it is a great date for those couples seeking a round of golf.
Rush rush rush
Course is a nice course. We were rushed by the ranger all day and finished exactly 4 hours. Why do I need to rush? If you finish under 4.5 hours you don't need to be rushed. I have played there before and have never been treated that way, but go there paying a discounted rate thru golf now be prepared to be hasdled by the ranger.
Great
Not a huge fan of the front 9, but it is such a well maintained course. I always enjoy hoopers
Great course
Very nice course, gives feel of playing old time course. Ruff is a little tuff to get out, was high the day we played. Greens are in great shape.
Hoopers
This is a GREAT course and the staff is very friendly
This course was a pleasant experience
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Very Friendly staff. Will for sure keep this one on our lists for great play in Delaware,
Hoopers Landing
Not bad course. I would play agian. The course is well maintained and surprisingly a good value. I would reccomend it to someone looking to not spend over $50 for a round, but just wants to play a solid round of golf.
Major improvement
This course has came a long ways.. It has improved every year for the last 3 years. Well done to the staff for all of the work that has been done. Thank You.
Decent layout but overall rough conditions.
It's one of the few courses out there where you don't end up near the clubhouse at the 9th hole. For those who enjoy taking a little break for food, bathrooms, etc. you will not find it here. As for course conditions: fairways were in terrible condition, very patchy with many bare spots; greens overall were in pretty good shape though, tee boxes were generally in bad shape and only a few were flat which made for unleveled tee off conditions.
Heaven before the storm.
Overall, it was a great experience. Staff extremely friendly, was told what to expect on certain holes and why. Greens were being prepared for aeration which was supposed to start, but Mother Nature has now snowed and spring has not yet arrived. I will play quite often this year because it is well maintained and is constantly improving.
Great
I would play this course again. It was in great shape.Staff in very friendly.
Was Pleasantly Suprised! Nice Course...
Hooper's Landing provides much more than you would think it would. Most holes, you can "grip it and rip it", but it's your approach shot that needs to be accurate. I was amazed at how the area around most of the greens were set up. Example: hole 1 dog leg right..but...green is protected well with bunkers in front and green is above fairway... no roll up-n-on here. Middle part of round is adjacent to main property and is pretty wide open with a very nice water carry par 3. Only 1 green had moderate damage but overall in good shape. Tasty little course that I'll return to play!
Great Course
The condition of this course was phenomenal. Beautiful fairways and greens. Greatest value out of any of the courses I have played in the area. 100 times better than the $40 courses that seem to not have a knowledgable greens keeper staff that let their fairways turn to garbage.
Fast play with good conditions
Nice course and fun to play. Mature trees will make you prize accuracy over distance.
Enjoyed playing this course more than pricier courses that I play.
I'm a mid-handicapper, and think this course is just a lot of fun to play.
