Garrisons Lake Golf Club

I booked a tee time for 12 o'clock on 1 January that would be a great way to start the new year. It was a wonderful afternoon cool mid 40s the course was nice for the time year. The fairways were free of leaves and the greens were smooth and sweet. The pace of play was great and the staff worked with us to allow an additional player to join our group. I enjoyed a very nice sunny afternoon look forward to many more this year

Having played over 75 rounds this year, I can say this was the absolute WORST course I've played. In fairness, the course may look /feel different in Spring or Summer, but it was completely unmaintained in the Fall. Course is extremely tight with large trees lining fairways, and leaves everywhere. Obvious NO attempt by grounds crew to clean leaves for many days. Multiple lost balls on fairways, even with good shots. MUST keep it straight at all times...zero room for error otherwise. Also, very sparse amenities with doublewide trailer for clubhouse, and rushed by starter to get on box, even before Tee time. Excellent deals on GolfNow, but pay the extra $5-10 and play a course that's worth the money...there's a reason it's so cheap. If cheap is for you, be prepared for a very frustrating round.

Hit some traffic on my way to the course and arrived 4 minutes after my tee time. The starter wanted to charge me for being late and made a big deal about it and came off pretty rude, which make sense on the weekend but not during a slower weekday. Other than that, this course has come a long way from where it has been. The fairways greens and tee boxes were all in great condition with fresh green grass. There were no bad lies in the fairway like in the past. The rough could use some improvement around the greens but is headed in the right direction.

This course is fairly challenging, trees line the fairways and greens are mostly guarded by bunkers. Makes for a round of fun and challenging shots.

Design the kind of challenge needed but course keep and conditions need improvement. Better kept the course would be one of the better test in the area.

Got a deal on Golf Now for $15. I would possibly play again for that price. Greens were arriated so putting wasnt true. Fairways a little rough. Overall still had a good time.

I've played this course 3 times this summer and each time I booked with golf now. Each time the staff was extremely rude.

The course was in excellent condition for the amount of rain and heat we recently had. Besides some patchy spots in the rough and a couple of the tee boxes having crab grass, it was an enjoyable round. Played as a group of 2 in under 4 hours.

Have played this course several times and have always enjoyed it. Conditions were great from fairway to green. Nice variety of fairway shapes and some water. Played weekday afternoon for $29 incuding cart. Can't beat that! If you want a fancy club house, beverage cart, etc, this is not the course for you. But if you want a nice round of golf for a great price, check out Garrison Lakes!

Was fun course and staff was very friendly. Only snack bar available, but was a good time.

good greens and excellent fairways..only made good course conditions as the sand traps were in bad shape...clay and not much sand..it was like dirt with rocks and could not get sand wedge under to make good shot...otherwise it is in great shape especially the greens...pure rolls...the rough was high and thick...

Play there one other time and wasnt really impress.
However, I have to say, this time course was very nice.
Green were fast and true.
Par 2 long and difficult.
Bunkers...Do not go in them, never seen bunkers edged like that. Tree Lined, better keep it play to score. But under trees was playable.
I would play this course again for sure.
Club House Needs to torn down and re-built, then this place would really have it all, also get rid of those Gas Carts.

Always fun and challenging to play Garrison Lake. The tree lined fairways challenge you to keep the ball out of the trees. If you can manage to stay out of the trees, the opportunity to shoot a good score exists. The tees, fairways, and greens were in good condition, however many bunkers were in need of work.

Great course, and in great shape. The only thing this course sorely needs is a ranger to keep play moving even on weekdays. Our foursome was behind a threesome and their play was extremely slow. That group made no effort to let us play through and a course ranger would have fixed that issue. Please give serious consideration to keeping a ranger in a cart and constantly moving and keeping slow play moving. Thank you

Weather was fantastic. . Course condition was excellent.

Course was in good shape. Tight but fair. Greens were fast with a lot of movement but the reads were true. No cart service or clubhouse.

This is a nice course. It's long and presents many challenges. It's also a great value
