West at White Pines Golf Course

A nice course with some long driving holes . Challenging enough for the intermediate golfer . I will play again . Nice friendly staff

Have been playing this course for years..Last couple the conditions were avg. Place was in great shape.

I hadn’t played this course in 20 years. I chose this course based on many of our group being from downtown Chicago and a few from the Northwest suburbs. We also needed a forgiving course as 3 of our 7 golfers are inexperienced women. This worked perfectly and all in our group enjoyed the day....along with the reasonable cost. A bad rain storm came in on our 14th hole, so we drove in to the clubhouse for about an hour delay. They let us play after the rains without any questions and even allowed us to change to the East Course(we played the other 14 on the West) due to play being cart path only & West was walking only. Pace of play was just right and would have been at 4 hours(rain came)...great considering we went off at noon on a busy Fri(July 5th). I will keep this course in consideration for the future.

Everything great except not being able to drive golf cart to parking lot or thru some trees just off the fairway.

As a combination of sand trap, water, and distance, very nice fairways and playable roughs. All around very nice course.

We recently played 18 holes on the East Course. The course was in good shape except for some of the traps, which were waterlogged from recent rains. The biggest problem was a woman's league ahead of us. The last two twosomes in the 18-hole league, no lie, took 15-20 strokes per hole on the 4s and 5s. Needless to say, the time for us to play the course was way too long. Stay away from this course on Tuesday mornings before 10!

Have played White Pines for 40 years. Has matured well, like fine wine. Mature trees, great greens, friendly staff, driving range and convenient central location for friends located throughout the Chicago area.

Aside from all the rain we've had and it being cart path only, it is a good course to play. Not too challenging and always fun.

White Pines West is a solid course and for $40 after 1pm its a great value. The West course provides a test with some longer par 5's than the East. They recently upgraded their carts with GPS included. Pace of play was slow (5 hour round) but mostly due to cart path only, and bunkers need more sand, but other than that it is a well maintained track. Great option close to the North side of Chicago.

I enjoy White Pines & it’s a good course. I just think that it could’ve been in better condition. Also the greens were covered in what we call whirly birds. Otherwise for $35 not bad at all.

I enjoy playing White Pines. I prefer the West Course, but both are good plays. There is a good variety of holes in terms of layout and difficulty. They keep the Course in good condition, but there are some areas that hold water (especially with the significant rain lately). The majority of the course is kept in great condition.

Me and my friend really enjoyed the course, which was in great shape.

The course was in very nice condition, Greens were fair and pin placement was good. New Golf Carts are a nice addition with GPS. Now the Bad, Tee boxes need to be moved more often, and rolled flat. overall a nice course. Staff needs to be friendlier.

Had good layout but all the grass was high and sand traps were more dirt than sand

It was cart path only, but should have been closed. There was standing water every where and your shots would stop dead or get plugged. The greens were in excellent shape because the course hadn't been played much because of all the rain.

The course was very wet from heavy rains the last couple weeks. The staff made it worth it.
