RiverPines Golf Course

We had a good time on the course. The pace was a bit slow and we had people pushing us most of the course but that was to be expected on a Saturday. And we're a bunch of novices so we probably were a part of the problem a bit...

The major issue we had was that we had planned on having food at the turn only to find out that the grill closes at 3:30! Not only that but we saw the beer/food cart only once in the 4.5 hours and that was rather unfortunate.

We would play here again but probably look for something that is more evening friendly in terms of food and service.

Local knowledge is important.. Greens were a bit bumpy but overall a nice experience.

The course has some interesting and challenging holes (notably 4, 6, 7, 11, 17 and 18). The layout along the Chattahoochee River crosses two major creeks which come in to play repeatedly. The course is well maintained and the staff is friendly. Very nice practice facility.

River Pines is one of my favorite courses in north Atlanta for the value, plus they have a nice driving range and warm up facilities.

Extremely friendly staffs. The staffs will make you mistaken that you are at a resort course. The course winds through Georgia pine wood hills. There are multiple holes has big elevation changes and dog leg blind shots. Read the signs for some local information (or have your GPS ready). Better yet, have a friendly local patron give you tips on where to put your tee ball. We are a threesome following the other threesome, and we played 18 holes less than 3 and half hours. Enjoy it.

Course was in great shape for being so early in the season. Greens were fast. Once the fairways green up this course will be in immaculate condition.

Some maintenance is needed around the course. It might be due to the recent weather but the greens & around the greens were in very bad shape. The fairways were okay but & could be chalked up to dormant grass.

I played River Pines for the first time and enjoyed the layout of the course. The Blue tees are a challenging distance to hazards. Driver, 3 iron or hybrid off the tees? Nice driving range and friendly staff. I'm looking forward to playing here again.

These guys know how to treat folks. First class. It was a busy day as expected - Good Friday, 68 degrees. The staff really keep things moving despite being packed. I have played longer rounds on less crowded courses. Fun course to play as well. Plenty of water. Great scenery along the 'hooch as well. Highly recommend. Every course in Atlanta should treat their patrons this well.

The course had a challenging layout with lots of opportunity for trouble. The course was very wet making it play longer. Most balls stopped right where they landed. Greens need some attention. I'm certain by summer the course will be in fine shape. Enjoyed seeing 6 deer and a beautiful red tailed hawk!
Not being a long ball hitter made the course particularly difficult in wet conditions. No distance on drives and no roll to green. Puddles and sogginess made for difficult lies.

Great neighborhood course. Greens need work. Sand traps need to be refilled to standards. Tee boxes little chewed up. Track lays out well from blues.

Played in Feb. so didn't expect too much but was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the top seeded winter greens. Looks like they have cut back and cut down a lot of brush and tree's this winter. Overall I like playing here and the pace of play is normally very good. Club house has a nice bar area and pretty good food.

Fun course. A little short, but it makes up for it with hazards along the way.

Well laid out course, good value for for an enjoyable, scenic round. Great practice facilities including a cool 9 hole short par 3 side.

We played with 2 regular golfers--Dick and Dave--who helped us through out the afternoon. The starter gave an excellent overview and informed us of current local conditions. The young men who handled our bags and wiped down our clubs were professional and friendly. We will definately come back. A top rat1ed organization.

I played here for the first time and really enjoyed it. The course was in pretty good condition and the staff was extremely friendly. It's a rather short and easy layout but with a lot of water/creeks..being along the Chattahoochee. The tee boxes and greens were in really good shape and overall had a great time. Would surely recommend this course.

The course is in a great setting boarding the Chattahoochee and has a wide variey of terrains. My only complaint is that a couple of holes are too quirky, such as #18 that is simply awkard and doesn't fit in. Practice facilities and the clubhouse are excellent with reasonably priced beer and food.

I play at least once a week in metro Atlanta and this course never lets me down. Greens are always in good shape and so are the fairways and tee boxes. Very fun track with some quirky holes that require tough mid iron play.

I always enjoy playing River Pines. The course is in excellent condition with perfect greens cut to run pretty fast the day I played. Always a great day with the Chattahoochee river and plenty of nature to observe (Deer, Hawks, etc.) A perfect golf day!

A course you can't overpower with a few quirky holes that require long irons off the tee. Greens are in good shape and are very fast. Bunkers could use a bit more sand.
