About
White Pines Golf Club is ideally situated for both locals and visitors with a convenient location that is just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago and only 10 minutes from O'Hare International Airport. The club has two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The East is the shorter and more player friendly of the two at 6,371 yards from the back tees. The fairways are seemingly narrow but there is some room for recovery if you have an errant shot. There aren't as many bunkers or water as on the West Course, but there is enough to provide a fun round. In addition to 36 holes of golf, White Pines G.C. also offers the Golf Dome, one of the world's largest indoor golf facilities. It features five target greens surrounded by bunkers, 50 hitting tees on two levels, and six suspended hitting targets for practicing your accuracy.

Will not be going back
Played here on Sunday, May 16. Everything was closed including the driving range. The halfway house was closed, the bathrooms were closed. They had Covid paranoia. Additionally, the course is dangerous. There were balls from different fairways all over the place because of the narrowness of most holes

Friendliest staff around; great value
Great layout overall; each hole keeps you interested. The staff is super nice and make you feel like a valued guest and the grounds crew are courteous and respectful. For example, they will shutoff the lawn mower engine when you are teeing off or standing over a putt which other courses don’t do. They keep the course well maintained especially for the large amount of guests coming through each day. The greens are always in good shape but I wish they were just a little bit faster sometimes. (They’re not slow, though.)

Nice course
Played today for the 4th time this year. Pace of play was surprisingly slow; five hour round on a Thursday. Staff was fantastic as usual, very polite. I will play at least five more times this summer.

Pace was great , price was good and no rain. Starter was very grumpy but he wasn’t in my foursome.

West is hard
I had always played the East course until this round. Big fan of the East course, which the staff had informed me was the “harder” side. For someone who fades tee shots the west side is not for me. Fairways are almost all dead straight with water lining the sides of several holes. Needless to say I found myself in the drink quite a few times.

Great Course, Terrible Pace
First time playing White Pines West and I loved it, amazing course for the $! Only issue was the pace of play. They need to do a much better job managing tee times. Went out with a group of 4 pretty good golfers and it took us 5 hours to finish because there was a group of 3 walkers in front of us. We would have asked to play through but there were 2-3 additional groups directly in front of them. You should never have to wait on such a large course. We had to play 17&18 with the sun down because of this. Wish they would manage this better!
