Very scenic course and pretty difficult if you don't hit 'em straight!

Great course
Pros: Quality of the grass/greens is exceptional for the area. Holes are very appealing to the eye. Food at the turn was very good.
Cons: Some point locations were pretty unbearable (at the crest of the green slope). Cart parts are very rough/not in good condition. Beverage cart not present.

Great course, need to fix the cart restrictions
4 separate times we were driving the golf cart ON the cart path and it would just stop and we would have to go back and forth between reversing and going forward to get the restricted zone off the screen.

Outstanding course - a hidden Gem. Not overly long, but some very challenging holes that require down the middle shots.

If you haven't been there yet, I recommend you to go
It can be a little difficult for beginners, but for those who are above intermediate level, it's very fun because of its layout and dynamic, and it's one of my favorite clubs because it has good lawn care.

Nice course but terrible/unpredictable Golf Carts!
PROS: Nice course, well maintained, good tee boxes, greens were well manicured and there were very few unrepaired ball divots (considerably less than our country club course). It's a challenging course. All the holes are long with lots of hills, water, trees, and sand traps. There is zero-forgiveness at Chalet Hills with almost every fairway tightly bordered by thick bushes, swampland, thickets, or marsh. If you can consistently stay in the fairway, great. If not, expect to lose balls, there is nothing 'safe' outside of the fairway.
CONS: we had a terrible time with both golf carts in our foursome. It was a bad sign when we had to wait 20 minutes for a functional cart which left us 10 minutes late to our tee time. The staff was friendly and doing everything they could, but the carts are just old and in really poor condition so there was not much they could do. Chalet Hills carts are the old gas-powered versions and every time we would press the peddle, nothing happened for a second and then the cart would jolt us aggressively forward. No big deal, but the real issue is how many times both of our carts would simply stop working throughout the day. It happened multiple times to both carts where they would just stop working for no reason. A few times this happened in the middle of the fairway on a par 5. We would get out to hit our balls but then the cart would not start again. Other times we would park our carts - on the path, but when we returned from putting, one or the other cart would not start. This really delayed play for those behind us (and apparently those in front of us as well). We called the club house several times for help. They did not have any carts to swap out so had to 'reboot' the carts several times which only seemed to restart the GPS maps but not the carts. Other times, they would suggest that we reverse for 10-15 yards (staying on the path) and try again. Sometimes this worked, other times not so much. Folks behind us thought we were letting them play through so they hit right on to us! It's not like we were parked next to the traps or anywhere close to the greens where driving carts might be prohibited, we were parked on the paths on Par 4s and Par 5s! This happened enough times that we eventually just gave up and went home before we even finished the first nine holes.
