Southern Hills Golf Club

Wonderful course and staff. Continues to be one of the best courses in the area. Highly recommend playing this course. Course was a little wet, but still played very well. For the price, play at southern hill is hard to beat.

I like this course but they allow fivesomes to play who won't let you play through. Had the same problem 2 of the 3 times I played this course. We complained to management but was told, "the problem wasn't the fivesome we see ahead, it's the fivesome in front of them. Sorry, you'll just have to deal with it." It took 5 hours and 25 minutes for our twosome to finish. We had 3 groups waiting to hit on every tee box. This was a weekday and the whole course didn't look crowded.

Tees 8/10. Fairways 8/10. Greens 8/10 only because they recently verticut them. Overall a great course. Lots of variety. Staff is courteous. Course is better the second and third times around as you learn how to play certain holes like number 1 and number 6 that both feature a fairway crossing creek. Quite a bit of water in play. You could probably actually find the water on 9/18 holes. Greens are rolling true and smooth and faster than average greens. I will definitely come back again.

Best manicured course in Middle GA. Fast greens. Nice fairways. Long distance between holes would make it a tough walk.

The fairway were in great shape ( looked better than the greens at my home course) the greens...... wow.... what else can you say!

Best course in middle Georgia. You have to use every club in your bag. The fairways and greens are always in excellent shape. My favorite course to play !!!!

This course has been a favorite of mine for years now and no matter what time of year you play it's always in prestine condition. Greens are undulating, smooth and fast! Plenty of tee box options for every level of golfer and fairways that do not disappoint. Best value in the Middle Georgia by far!

My son and I went out to catch an early round and the course was well maintained and the practice area was great. Unfortunately, the area is marsh/swamp land and the Gnats and Flies were everywhere. We had to leave at the 8th hole because my young son was being swarmed, wish we could have continued. Definitely recommend if you are in the area but bring the deep woods spray.

I've played this course on several occasions and though I'm not a member I'm always treat very well.

I've now played Southern Hills three times. Each time has been enjoyable. Staff is friendly and helpful, had a great burger to start the round and the pace of play flowed for the most part although a bit of stop and go from holes 10-12. This however was understandable considering we were a two ball and very few golfers actually understand etiquette and give preference to a two ball.

The course was in good condition. Tee boxes were nicely shaved, fairways were good despite a few patchy and uneven areas. The bunkers are quite consistent with nice soft white sand (the weekday hackers should be told to rake the bunkers as I played from a couple footprints). The greens were wonderful. I'm not from the area so I haven't played all the courses around but these are some of the best, quickest and truest greens around).

As I stated in the title, it's a highly enjoyable course and I'd encourage you to Play. I made the drive from Dublin and given the quality of the course, lunch and value for money you will be well served to do the same.
