Southern Hill play May 6th 2017
Great course that played as expected. The staff was efficient and courteous. Even with 2 fivesomes in front of my group of 2, the pace of play was on target. I recommend playing this course as it is one of the best values across the board in the area.
Championship golf at affordable prices!
Course layout is second to none. Clubhouse and staff are rated 5 stars. Highly recommended to all golfers.

Lived up to reviews. Consistent greens and well maintained fairways and bunkers.
First time
Was in town for a wedding and wanted to play somewhere while I was there. Loved the course for the money it couldn't have been better. The course is well layed out the greens were very fast and the pin placement was very challenging.
Best in Middle Georgia
Great condition, tees, fairways and greens. Green have modest slope and undulation, recommend a few moments on putting green before playing. Multiple holes require strategy off the tee providing great risk/reward opportunities or the option to play smart. My favorite course in the area.

I love the course and staff
Southern Hills is an outstanding course. The course always is in very good condition. The staff is very nice.
Travel golf
The golf has a great layout. I'm sure once it gets deeper into the summer it will be in better shape, a lot of the grass was still coming in after the winter. The did tell me that the course is usually wet in spots and it was. The course is off the beaten path so if you don't mind driving 45 minutes to get there it is worth the drive.
great short course..
Excellent. ...bermuda green. Course is well maintained. Some bunkers on certain holes were GUR... other than that great value.
Must play course if you are in the area
As usual the course was in great shape (even though they were re working some bunkers). Normally the pace of play is slow but we had no issues with that on this trip. Always find the staff friendly and helpful.
Traveling
We were camping nearby and decided to go play. The manager at the campground loves this course and I can see why. We loved the course layout but wished there was a map on the scorecard. Signage could have been better for first timers. Staff was very cordial and the course was in great shape. We didn't have to play out of the sand traps as they were working on lining them. Fairways and greens in great shape. Would love to play it again.
Best Course in Middle Georgia
If you only get a chance to play one course while you are in the area or passing through make the short detour and play Southern Hills. I live about 20 minutes from the course and play there fairly frequently. The greens are always perfect and roll fast and true. In addition, if you are in the fairway you can count on a good lie. The rough is cut to a reasonable length making it a challenge but not a punishment. Pace of play is always good. You can even walk if you're healthy because there are only a couple of holes where you have a long walk from the green to the next tee.

Love playing Southern Hills. The course is always in great shape and is challenging but fair. Greens are top notch.
Favorite Course
I have been playing this course for many years, 3 or 4 times a year. It is 60 miles from here and always worth the travel. I still hit it ok for a 69 year old and enjoy the challenge of this course.
Nice
Great course and really suprised how well conditioned course was. Greens were great, fairways great, bunkers unfortunately were washed out from rain the day before we played. Highly recommend.
Challenging course play.
We played the day after a major storm and the course condition was still good. Can tell in fair weather it would be acceptional. Course is challenging and fun to play.
