Would give it 0 stars if I could
Pin locations are an absolute joke. You can easily 4 putt half the greens when the greenskeeper puts the hole on the side of a hill and the greens are rolling 12.
No way for 40$.....not coming back.
We apologize for the rough hole locations. As the new greens mature, we are learning that some of our more traditional placements are no longer viable when the new Bermuda goes dormant and speeds up. If you could provide some locations that you felt were unfair, we will pass the information along to our maintenance staff.
City Club
I’ve normally never had an issue at this course. Today was different though an a few of the people working all looked new because I had never seen them before. They don’t let you get a cart until 10 minutes before your team time so I decided to hit some balls, the MATs here are absolutely HORRIFIC! It was like hitting off plastic. The green speed was good but the pin placement was the worst I’ve ever seen on a course before. Helpful tip nobody wants to hit on these impossible bill placements. I won’t be going back to this course anytime soon, it’s also a short course so it’s not a par 72 and there are no cart girls so get your drinks before you go out.
Thank you for your feedback, we are working on replacing the mats in the new future. As this is the first winter with the new greens fully grown in, we are discovering some hole locations that used to be playable are now off limits when the green speeds increase. If you could provide a couple of locations that were rough, please let me know and I can pass them on to our superintendent.
Do not play here unless you want a 5+ hour round there is no Marshall around and staff generally does not care. They fixed their greens last month but generally do not do a great job of maintenance.
We are sorry you did not enjoy your recent round with us. We are in the process of changing many of our procedures due to the pandemic, one of which is adding marshals during what is normally a slow time of the year for us.
Another good round at The City Club
We play fairly regularly at the City Club and enjoy playing there.
Way over played. So many new golfers on the course! You will wait 15 min on the tee boxes. A round will take around 5 hours. Easy to lose balls even hitting the fairways. Greens are in pretty good shape.
Odd course
The course layout makes zero sense. So many hills and terrain changes. From hitting blind teeshots hoping I can find my ball across the hills to a par 5 that changes 90° in direction, most of the holes make zero sense. You have almost drivable par 4’s then a 600yd par 5?Better be good off the teebox! Because the course is compacted together. At least the pricing is fair.
Course is in good shape, play was pretty fast
I've left bad reviews on this course before so now for a positive one. I have always enjoyed the course itself, it's the pace of play that is typically the problem. Today was much better and I got through 18 very quickly. I hope they'll be more mindful of not packing the course every day because when the pace of play is like it was today, it's totally worth the money.
