A Thinking Man's Course- A Fools Nightmare
This course has a little bit of everything, so you have to bring your thinking game and don't just select the typical clubs on a hole. You need to think it out. The course looks as if it's easy due to its overall length, but golfer beware. It makes you ;think its easy when you start off of the 1st tee, but then the 2nd 3rd and 4th holes give you a reality check. 2 is quirky par 5, 3 is a par 3 over water and 4 has a very narrow fairway short par 4 with water to the right. There is water everywhere and then #10 is a beast that is a par 5, but the wind always seems to pick up here. Oh yeah did I mention #4 again. #7 is a tricky par 5 with homes lining the left. #17 seems preciously easy short par 4 hole but then you realize that water is on both sides and the fairway seems to slightly lean to the left and then your ball has scooted into the water. Finally #18 doesn't give you a straight look at the fairway with homes on the left water on the right of the fairway and water on the right as you approach the green. A grueling hole to finish your round. I somehow always shoot good at this course, and that's because I don't take it for granite. Great course to play and in good condition. The staff is super friendly Oh yeah did I mention hole #4?; Consider yourself warned. Also look for specials on GolfNow. .
No more for me
Over the past several tears I played this course many times and was really happy. Today, not so much. I made up my mind many years ago that if I am at a course and see a 5some I will not go back. Caught up with a 5some on about hole 11 or 12 and they wanted to waive me thru on hole 18.
Happy Golfer
Grounds, greens and the entire course was in great condition.
Challenging and fun Golf course, totally recommend it and I will definitely play again!!
Improved Course Condition
Consecutive days of rain resulted to wet conditions of the golf course hence cartpath only riding restrictions. We were only a two-some and the first 7 holes was done in a flash and we were on pace to complete the front 9 in less than 2 hours. We caught up with a foursome ahead of us which we never saw until after our 2nd shot on the 5-par 7th hole and this started the long wait in every hole. Took us 2:10 to finish the first nine and the back 9 needed 3 hours to complete. Couldn’t play ahead of the foursome we were following as they were the tail end of 3 foursomes the middle group of which was moving like a snail causing the back up. A ranger was following this 3 groups but didn’t seem to help. The fairways and greens were in better and improved condition compared to last time I played the course. There’s an added tee box making the course longer and more challenging from the back tees.
Big suprise
lots of water, and tight fairways. Course is alittle short, par threes are no more than 150 yrds from tips . But is a challenge due to some holes you cannot miss off the tee box. Will return.
Good value
Replay here probably once every couple of weeks it’s a nice course good greens decent fairways the only problem I have is the sand traps are too hard too much dirt not enough sand
Great Saturday Course
This is my second time playing this course, and we really do like playing it. The course has a really nice layout, the greens are in good condition and roll true, and the fairway is well maintained. There are a lot of challenging water holes, where you have to be smart. The only thing that I don't like about this course is that it does not have a range.
Short but daunting
One of the more challenging 6,000-yard layouts you'll find. I play here once or twice a week because it's convenient to my home and easy to get on and you have to think your way around this place. They do an excellent job with the fairways and greens and the bunkers are improving but still have a ways to go. All in all a really thoughtful design to get the most they can out of the property and a good value.
Course Review
Course needs new Sand Traps. Existing ones are like concrete.
Overall though for the price it was well worth playing.
Thank You
