Course Review
Course needs new Sand Traps. Existing ones are like concrete.
Overall though for the price it was well worth playing.
Thank You
Jeff Mills
Interesting course
It is an interesting layout, you have to use more than just a driver off the tee. I liked having to do a bit more planning for each hole. Like other reviews mentioned the traps are either rock hard or under water and it hasn’t rained so I’m guessing it’s the sprinkler system. We were the first group of the day so nobody in front of us. Finished in 3 hours. Cost isn’t terrible but probably $10-15 more than it should be. However I’d probably play it again.
Water in sand traps
Course was in great shape. Tee boxes could use some work but overall didn’t have a problem setting up. Every single sand trap was full of water. Had to pull my ball out a couple times. Did not likey. But I would play again.
Overpriced for course conditions
We were charged full price but found the course to be in poor shape. Many bunkers were more like small ponds - balls hit into them were lost as we were unable to see through the mucky water. We felt that they should have either given us each a sleeve of quality balls or else knocked an equivalent amount off the price.
The course is very tricked up and, considering the management’s lack of attention to maintenance, we will not play there again.
Glendale Lakes, May 26, 2021
Played the gold tees which measure approximately 5000 yards. For the first 3 holes it was cart path only due to early morning rain. After that a ranger informed us that the 90 degree would then be in effect.
The course conditions were good with the exception of some soggy rough in spots and some standing water in several bunkers.. The greens were in excellent condition and the pace of play was very good. My threesome finished in less than 4 hours.
Tuesday round
Wide open on Tuesday afternoon. Course in pretty good shape except for bunkers. They appeared to be recently groomed but realized after sailing one over the green how solid they were. Best deal around for the money though.
Our review of Glendale Lakes GC
We have enjoyed this course occasionally over the years. It is reasonably challenging for the average golfer, with plenty of water hazards to make life interesting. Starter was very friendly but in general, the staff is grumpy - no reason for it. Pace moves well and carts fine. Price is reasonable and rarely are they so packed that you can't get a tee-time. We'll be back!
Course
Great course first time there very challenging had a great time will go again, recommend to play there
Green airatted don’t play for 2 to 3 weeks
Course has improved dramatically over pst few years . I personally will not play it until I hear the greens were as good as I played the week before. Avoid this course fir 2 to 3 weeks. Then it will be a good value and better than average to play. It’s just to hard to score on these greens as of yesterday. Tee boxes need to be improved it appears that nothing has been maintained since last year. This course has lots of potential if maintenance was better. I recommend sand bottles be placed on carts This course could be a great value after greens recover from the aerating and sanding. To be fair fairways are very good on most holes. Again this could be a great value and lots of golf for the money .... it’s just not quite there yet. I’ll go back in 2 to 3 weeks and let you know how the greens recovered.
Course is lots of fun
Nice staff, fun course to play. Sunday 10 30 tee off, on time. Less than 4 hours which is really nice on the weekend
Challenging and fun course
Had a great time playing here today! The course was nice, I enjoyed the layout, and pace of play was on target. I will be coming back to play
