Hawaii Prince Golf Club - A/B Nines
About
Located on the west side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii Prince Golf Club is situated on what was once prime sugar cane land. Now the land provides 27 holes of challenging golf with panoramic views of the Waianae Mountain Range. There are three nines that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. A/B is the least difficult of the combinations but there is still plenty of character and variety throughout the golf course. Water hazards come into play on nine holes and there are sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. Although it is considered the least challenging, the A/B features one of the most difficult of all the holes at the club, the last hole on the B course. It is a par 4 with water to the left, front, and right of the tee and it usually plays into the trade winds.

Great experience if you start early
I've played this course maybe 6 times in the last 10 years. It's always challenging, especially if the wind is up (and it often is). The course is always in great shape from tee to green and I like the layout; no bizarre holes with funky doglegs or whatever. But it's popular and rounds can be slow. I recommend starting early. We finished in four hours with a foursome in front of us by starting at 7:20 am. It's been over five hours when I start mid-morning, even on a Friday. I've always found staff to be friendly and helpful, even with large groups of tourists.
Prince First Timer
Got a $114 rate for a 7am tee off. Included cart, small range bucket and a cooler with 2 water's. Course was in fantastic shape and greens were immaculate. I dont pay this much for golf but on Oahu this is a good deal since the city courses will charge you $88 and course is for beginners. Make prince a must stop
The greens are in top form
Hey Folks
Get it while the gettin’s Good. Big rains for the winter. lots of sunshine. The greens are like carpet. Perfect spring conditions.
Good Day on Hawaii Prince
used Golf Now and booked a 1:00pm tee time for 2. Arrived at the course and it wasn't very busy so we could have gone out right away, but the pro shop staff gave us a bucket of balls so we hit, putted, and then headed out.
We ended up being a 4 sum in-between two 3-sums, but we didn't really feel rushed. The course is in good shape and the greens are in really good shape. They putt very true, but adjusting to the grass took a bit of time...the ball tends to die on putts compared to the grass we're used to in the PNW. That's an observation, not a complaint, as I loved the greens.
The course if pretty flat, quite wide-open, and just enough sand and water to make it interesting. We played the B&C combo and enjoyed. There is drinking water on most holes, bathrooms on course, but no ball-washers. I would play again and would recommend.
I left a 7i at the driving range and the staff was helpful in trying to locate it, but no luck yet. Overall, the staff was really fantastic. We didn't see a marshall at all, but the pace of play was fine.
Expected better
Course was in good shape. But no marshall's and play was SLOW. Also no beverage cart which is expected with a course this pricey. Not well managed in my opinion. They could get more play and better revouews with a little more customer service and/or attention.
Fun round beautiful day for golf
I really enjoyed the course. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Greens were in great shape and rolled true. Pace of play slowed a little on the C 9 hole course but was still able to finish in under 4 hours. Would definitely recommend this course to others.
Amazing golf on Oahu
This course is amazing. Great value. Greenest grass you’ll ever see.
A challenging course for any level!
We played courses A and B (there is a C) which are all 9 holes each. I would love to go back and play course C and then B again. So with 27 holes you can never get bored. It was windy but each hole was fair and some with more difficultly into the wind. But the traps were in good shape, the greens rolled true and the practice facilities were perfect (a range, 3 putting greens and a couple chipping areas). I would definitely play here again for that rate.
Our go-to course
Always look forward to a round at the Waikiki Prince. The staff is always accommodating and the 3 course layout is challenging but fair.
Nice course
Well mix of the easy and challenging courses. Very soft green to easy control of the ball.
pleasant golfing
Fairly reasonable courses with friendly peoples!
Why no beer truck?
played b and c courses. Im a 25 handiicap, very challenging. greens excellent, would play again.
Fun great value course in Hawaii
The Hawaii Prince golf course is a straight forward course. It is open and friendly but beware some if the water hazards can make you crazy.
We played our round in under 4 hours which was amazing because the course was busy. The staff were courteous and very helpful.
This is a good value golf course if you just want to go out and enjoy a round of golf with friends.
Good day of golf
The course is in good condition. Layout is rather open with water and sand throughout. Greens roll true and seem to be the same speed.
Little pricey for golf but it’s Hawaii.
