Gateway National Golf Links

You will not find a better conditioned course in the St. Louis metro area. The greens were running fast and they appeared to have been aerated several weeks ago and were in great shape. The senior greens fee during the week of $48, cannot be beat. Another course I like, Annbriar, is charging $60 during the week. Play Gateway instead. Better conditions and a better price.

The course is run properly too. Staffing at the inside dining room, 10th hole snack shop and a beverage cart.

If I had one recommendation, they probably need to enlarge the 4th tee box for the par 3. The gold tee is is not flat and getting beat up with the divots.

First time playing here at Gateway and enjoyed a round of 18H golf. Great view of the arch and quite a challenging course with fast greens. Fairways were fairly decent, except for multiple areas which needed divot repairs by course maintenance. Nice to be grouped with a 3-some who were friendly and fun to play the entire round. Also loved the concession cart and the snack shack on the 9th hole🏌🏻‍♀️⛳️🌭🍺🏌️🏌🏻‍♂️

Love this course, the fairways are unbelievable! The pace of play was a little on the slow side but tolerable.

Incredible layout and conditions. Only issue was expensive pricing and slower than I would’ve liked pace of play. I would recommend playing this course anytime you are looking to splurge on a really nice round of golf.

There was a hard rain in the morning, so the course was very wet, I only played 9 holes. My shoes and socks were soaked, so I called it a day, but this is a high quality golf course. If you are in St. Louis, this is a must play !!!

Gateway is one of St Louis' iconic courses--links style with bent grass fairways. Played on a Sunday afternoon following rain. It was cart path only so we walked.

The course and greens are in great shape. Played eighteen in four hours walking.

The hot now tee time was amazing. Pace of play was fantastic, played 18 in 2 hours and 5 minutes, even having to wait for some of the greenskeepers to see me when they were watering the greens, which was no issue.

Almost got stuck behind a sixsome, but marked my ball on 18 and jumped to one to finish my round the. Came back to finish 18.

Corse was in amazing shape. Greens Rollie’s true and fast. Continually fixed divot marks on greens but unfortunately I have just gotten used to doing that because others don’t.

The free chilled water bottles one and ten were welcomed due to no on course support. However the water coolers spread throughout the course needed to more ice to remain cool in the exposed hot sun.

Having just returned from San Antonio where the courses were no where near in the same conditions as the courses here. Had to get used to playing on grass vs. dirt. Putts rolled true and fast too and very welcomed, the greens staff deserve some serious kudos!!

Gateway National is in the best shape of any metro St. Louis course I've played in 2023. The tees, fairways and greens are excellent. The greens have good speed to them also.

Playing here during the week as a senior is a bargain at $48. They are a well run golf course, from the front desk, starter, beverage cart, snack bars at the clubhouse and 10th tee.

This course is much cheaper during the week. I checked pricing on Saturdays, which can be in the $87-96 range.

Played on a Thursday and completed round in 4 hrs and 10 minutes. Greens in great shape as were the fairways. They had a drink cart and the young woman driving was pleasant and came by three times during our play on the course. Gateway has always been a top 5 public course in Saint Louis area and it did not disappoint.
