Fairway needs to be maintained
There were many places which does not have lawns in the fairway.
It needs to be maintained well.
In overall, compared to price , the course was good.
Nice course
Overall nice course, good for guys like me who don't hit too long.
Scenic golf course
The views from many greens are beautiful. Mountains and sea!
Not a difficult course, but becomes a beast when the winds are blowing.
Club House is tired looking and the restaurant was closed.
Outrageous
$150 is the advertised 'rack' rate for a round here. I paid $110.
In my view, all things being equal, a fair fee for 18 holes here would be $25
The greens should be called 'slightly different coloured fairway'
The layout could, with some care, be pretty nice (the location can't be faulted) but, to charge the fees they charge is outrageous/shameful
Not bad, all Things Considered
I found out the hard way that when playing in Hawaii you're going to need about $125 a round on the low end. That being said Hawaii Kai is pretty good verses the other low end courses. "Championship" is a little misleading but with a little more care and maintenance they could have a very decent course. I really couldn't tell if they were losing some of the fairways or if they were coming back. The greens are in trouble they're pretty much gone on most holes (but you can adjust to them and enjoy the course.) Nice layout not a lot trouble, a little water and some sand.It's a nice challenge the wind was very strong at times the course is sitting between the ocean and the mountains.
Have not been to Oahu in 20 years. Been golfing for 8 years. Easy course layout. My girlfriend who just began golfing enjoyed it as well.
