About
Hapuna Golf Course stretches along the beautiful Kohala coastline before rising to over 700 feet above sea level. The snow-topped Mauna Kea volcano serves as a dramatic backdrop and there are seemingly endless views of the Pacific. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay collaborated to create a visually stunning links course that utilizes the natural contours of the landscape and silky fescue grasses. The design team has received praise for not only the challenge of the design but also for how seamlessly it blends into the existing environment. Palmer incorporated several risk-reward opportunities, especially with the par 5s, the14th is a good example. There are many ways to play this hole, which features a large ravine on the right and a wide, but shallow green. Long hitters can reach the green in two but short hitters prefer two shots and a par 3.

Epic course great views great condition
One epic course to play made possible by golf now, the course and staff Is first class wildlife is also amazing there. We got rained on 3 times but with this hawaii weather you dry off so fast.once again would recommend to anyone on the Kona island, hope to get one great HOTDEAL

From the tips plays short with lots of downhill holes ball runs out. Fun track though and fair challenge.
Friendly course in perfect condition
This is a very playable and enjoyable course for all levels of golfers. Perfect condition, fast and true greens, breathtaking views. It is as good as it gets.
Nice course but design is quirky
Without knowing the course the layout is quirky and puts you in tough spots where landing areas are tight and often your ball rolls off into high weeds or tall grasses on sides of fairways. Carts do not have GPS screens so you have no data or info about each hole. Overall nice course but there are nicer courses nearby with better amenities
WINDY!!!
It was almost a great experience but the wind really ruined it for me. Not only you have to second, triple guess each iron distances but also deal with dust kicking up into your face sometimes impossible to keep both eyes open. It was so windy stitching from my Hawaiian shirt started to unravel. If you don't have a punch shot stay away. Other than that.. nice design and fast pace of play (people have walked off after losing all their golf balls) Not worth the money I spent.

Friendly staff great course. Rentals are SIM 2 max. Fun challenging, narrow fairways.

Very friendly staff. We were able to go out early. Pace of play was great for 12 holes but then we caught groups in front of us and things were backed up for 4 holes. Painfully slow.
But good value for Hawaii
Aerated greens
Over the last couple years I have played this course. Each time its does not say the greens have been punched. I find that for whatever reasons the greens still have holes and a lot over sand and you get a very poor roll on the ball. It's very frustrating and for what you are charging is unacceptable.
