Raccoon Creek Golf Course
About
The Raccoon Creek Golf Course is a public, 18-hole golf course in Littleton. It covers 7,007 yards from its longest tees and plays to a par of 72. The course has some difficult elements, such as elevation changes, but it is still beginner-friendly. Water hazards come into play on seventeen holes. The most difficult hole of the course, one of the most difficult in Colorado according to the Colorado Golf Associates, is the par-3 17th hole. The hole runs alongside a creek, the creek that the course is named after, and requires a shot over a portion of it to a very well protected green.

Raccoon Creek - Windy Day
In spite of large wind, we had an enjoyable round. My only recommendation is that there be more signage to direct players to the tee boxes. Had we not played with folks who knew the course, we could have spent a large amount of time trying to figure out where the next tee boxes were located.
New Clubhouse, same great course
Had heard recent storms had taken down a number of trees, but property had recovered nicely, and there are now more sight lines and better views of some holes.
Course was in great condition as always.
Highly recommend the course as a good challenge and the new clubhouse and chef are top notch.
Not for beginners !!
The review isn't focused on the clubhouse, amenities, starter or course condition. For them, they would easily get a 4 or 5 star rating.
The rating plummeted due to the
Gestopo veteran course marshal.
I had a foursome with my son, his girlfriend and a nephew. We had a slow twosome in front of us which was fine because my sons girlfriend and nephew were new to golf.
We were keeping up with the twosome in front of us but there was an experienced foursome playing relentlessly tight up from behind throughout the round which created a lot of anxiety to us all, especially the woman in the group who is new to golf.
The marshal must have been informed from the foursome behind us to get us to play quicker but I explained to him that we were keeping up the twosome in front of us and even if we let the foursome play through they too would be held up but he didn't care, he just kept hovering over our group causing even more stress and killing any fun we were expecting to have.
I felt so bad for my son's girlfriend, she was actually running to her next shot only making her play worse. I told her "there is no running in golf"at least 4 times but she was concerned with being harassed by the marshal and the foursome behind us.
All along the marshal wasn't pressing the old guys in front of us, just our group. In the end he left us alone for the last 4 holes to make it a little relaxing but by that time we would just as well quit if we were close to the clubhouse.
This course is good for the old consistent player or better especially if they are all teeing off from the same tee box.
This course is not good for the promotion of new players or those aren't good yet and have to both tee from the back tee boxes and then move to women's. If my situation isn't your concern then you would probably enjoy playing here. Unfortunately for me and the rest of my group, we didn't get to have such an experience we were all looking forward to having.

When checked in golf shop person upset I got Green fees and cart rider for $25.00. Negative rather than say great deal glad to have you first time.
Then guy asked if I would share cart or have hand cart. I am 70 years old and said no. Other three turned out to be single golfers lot younger than me.
I can see share cart being married or immediate family. But you not set up for testing and you not adhering to social distancing.
So what is your policy in riding carts with VIRUS still so prevalent? If I book online you going to insist I share cart being 70 years old? I notice many rode carts by themselves.
Great Sunday
Course in great condition. Tough hole locations.
Updates are Great!
It’s been 3 years since we’ve played here. The course was in great condition new clubhouse and new carts with gps. Great round and we’ll be back!
Good value.
Course was in very good condition but pace of play could have been faster. I would play here again.
Fun layout and challenging - but SLOW play
I played on a Saturday, joining another twosome we didn't know. They were slow!! Didn't play ready golf, stood over the ball for 30 seconds (no exaggeration) on every shot, shuffling their feet, adjusting their gip, five practice swings, then hit it 100 yards. I lost count of how many balls they lost. The marshal approached us early in the round and said 'hey guys, you're 5 minutes behind, please pick up the pace'. I told him he needed to tell the twosome in the other cart, we're waiting on them for every shot. That was the last thing he said to us, though he came by several times and watched from a distance and wrote notes in the clipboard. What's the point of having a marshal when you don't enforce pace of play? I know, I know, don't want to make customers angry or they won't come back. Here's the deal, it was a 4 hour 50 minute round. I won't come back if that's a normal round. You can't get any consistency when you're waiting around so long. It's ok to be a bad golfer, we've all been there, it's not ok to obnoxiously slow and inconsiderate of other players. The course backed up behind us, then I felt rushed to hit my shot. Ruined the round.
Great course but...
My friend and I really enjoyed playing the beautiful, well-maintained course -- or what we played of it. There are no signs indicating where the tee boxes are, which can be tricky to figure out on the curvy layout. The stones in the ground on the tee boxes show the hole number but we were confused several times where to go after each hole. In fact, we played the wrong hole once, got off track, and ended up not being able to play four holes. The player assistant on the course was not sympathetic. Advice: play with locals who know the course, to know where to walk and when not to use driver!
Slow
very slow Marshall did not stop or do anything for pace of play. Tee boxes were in terrible condition. Fairways had bare spots. Greens were slow, bumpy and hard to get a ball to stay on the green.
